Summary: This property is being advertised as having undergone a complete refurbishment /upgrade. It's obvious that such work has been done BUT: the bathrooms remain very small vis-s-vis the size of the rooms, the toilets are apparently the same old design and especially old and under performing efficiency, there is no buffet breakfast available (who has time in the morning these days for breakfast a la carte ? .... certainly not us at least) and there is only one elevator (good luck getting up/down at "rush hours"). On the plus side: staff was great, very friendly and helpful, location is great. We think there may be other places in Barrie offering better dollar value deals. Comparison shopping is a must if bottom line matters.

Summary: They were able to switch my room because of the lacrosse teams were staying on the first floor and I could tell the adjoining door was not sound proof. The lounge area is cozy. Complimentary coffee and muffins were good and the room was clean.
