Positive: The staff were super helpful and friendly. The beds and bedding were quality and perfect for me. The location was great: walk to beach, walk for groceries, walk downstairs for The Shark Pit (really yummy food!), and across the lobby for fun shopping!

Positive: It was quiet and uneventful. I was able to relax.
Negative: The view from my windows was of a store. I was worried about keeping the blinds open due to the possibility of someone being in the store.

Positive: This hotel is the best available in the locality, with the others tending to be legacy stand alone mom and pop type operations. The room was spacious, good bed and good shower. It also had ample desk space as well as a task chair, although there was a lack of power outlets near the desk space. I also liked that the parking was connected to the hotel and on the same level.
Negative: The property is not being maintained as well as it should be and looks a bit tired. Of greatest concern was that I was trapped in one of the lifts. The communication system did not work so I was unable to seek assistance other than by sounding a loud bell that also was very loud inside the lift. When I was released no one enquired of my well being let alone apologised. More concerningly they did not immediately take the unit out of service. More trivially, but annoyingly, housekeeping repeatedly failed to service my room despite my making multiple specific requests at reception. Overall these were staff issues but even as a low level Marriott brand things should be better.
Summary: Conveniently located but a bit tired and poorly managed
