3 Bedroom House in Crowdy Head

Our house comprises three bedrooms,spacious open plan kitchen dining living area, bathroom with bath plus additional laundry and toilet.
The living area has an open fireplace (split wood and kindling will be supplied ready to use). The kitchen is fully equipped, as for our own needs, and has a dishwasher.
The open plan living area offers the luxury of large french doors, and double windows affording full ocean vistas.
Each of the three bedrooms has a double or queen sized bed. The bunk room having two doubles and a single bed.
Two of the bedrooms have ocean views.
The front of the house has a wide three sided verandah with what can only be described as panoramic views, and is furnished with a full teak dining set, steamer chair and BBQ.

This area, 3 1/2 hours north of Sydney by car is also served by daily 1 hour flights to and from Sydney.Crowdy Head and nearby Harrington are renown for rock , estuary and beach fishing. Crowdy Bay, which sweeps 16kms north and Harrrington Beach, 8kms long to the south, are both 4wd accessible.
Finally,it is the rare access to the open sea that the protected boat ramp in Crowdy Harbour offers,which is the area's major feature.
Surfing at Crowdy Bay, and south of the headland is also renown.
Calmer protected swimming is closeby with the patrolled southern end of Crowdy Bay.

A 50mtr stroll down the hill will reveal the working fishing harbour, and the trawler fleet's co-operative shop offering freshly caught produce.
At nearby Harrington, (ten minutes drive), a large shopping centre with supermarket will supply your needs.
Local hotels and their bistros afford a splendid location to enjoy a meal on the Manning river.
Fabulous day trips to the beautiful rainforrests of the hinterland are also a feature, dotted with beautiful hamlets such as Moorland, John's River and Hannamvale.
The area has a wealth of walks in the numerous National Parks, featuring superb flora and fawna.

Summary: The view from the large patio is amazing. We loved the open plan living area and kitchen. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms were adequate and functional. The beds were all comfortable. The spa was a bonus. There was also a new bbq.

Summary: I read the reviews on this property prior to booking and was a little concerned. Many reviews pointed to the fact that the property was not clean and it appeared that the owner had moved out just prior to the tenants arrival. Unfortunately this was our experience. The bed blankets in the master bedroom were stained, there was kitty litter or some similar product on the floor in the dining area and it really did look like the owner just leaves when any ventursome tourist decides to 'give it a go'. The location is amazing but the property itself. and the state that it was left in, is well below what is expected of a short term rental. The owner would do well to spend some of the money made from short term stays, to hire a cleaner to ensure that the property is at least clean when guests stay. Very disappointing.

Summary: A really great stay with fantastic views for miles and a great house to spend time with the family. Comfortable beds, clean, bright. And views from every corner. The house was cool even on a very hot day with the sea breeze blowing through all areas of the house. William thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home one of the best I have spent time in for sure.

Summary: 6 of us stayed, so plenty of bedding. Place could do with a big Springclean. Lots of owners stuff everywhere and no access to wardrobes or anywhere to put clothes for 6 people.

Summary: The property was comfortable and well equipped. The view was spectacular. We saw lots of whales and dolphins and enjoyed watching the surfers from the spacious balcony. The host was very accommodating.

Summary: The location of the property is fantastic with sweeping views of the ocean. The balcony with outdoor furniture was great. There was plenty of firewood. However, the window glasses were too dirty to enjoy the view from the living room. There was too much clutter to find any space in the kitchen cupboards to put away our groceries. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable with storage to unpack. However, the beds in second room were very uncomfortable and you could practically feel the springs. There was no storage in other bedrooms to unpack. The wardrobes in the rooms were stuffed with owner's belongings and were locked. So the bags with clothes in those rooms had to be left on the floor. It is not enjoyable to have a holiday with other people's clutter. It certainly felt as if the owner left the house for a few days for our stay. We have never experienced something like this in any of our previous holiday rentals. There was no microwave in the kitchen and eventually found it in the rear building. The internet wasn't available as the modem was unplugged. This property has so much potential if it is cleaned up property and the clutter is removed to make it more habitable like a proper holiday rental. We felt it is a great location for a one time visit for a few days as there is nothing happening around there.
