Exclusive newly refurnished luxury apartment on the 9th (penultimate top floor) within the four star Oceano Atlantico Hotel complex offering everything for the perfect holiday. There are only 6 apartments on the 9th floor providing true exclusivity with wonderful views to the Atlantic Ocean and River Arade. They have been designed and decorated to provide a real feeling of luxury and relaxation. The apartment is fully air conditioned and has wonderful views from the private balcony to the Atlantic Ocean, River Arade and Portimao city. The apartment has been completely refurnished and decorated offering superior luxury and refinement with air conditioning throughout, free dedicated fibre WiFi internet, 40 inch television with multi lingual cable channels and Blu-Ray / DVD player with film library including children's DVDs.
The fully equipped kitchenette comes with fridge freezer, cooker, hob, microwave, washing machine, dish washer and Nespresso coffee machine (10 capsules provided). All cooking equipment and place settings for guests are provided.
The living room provides relaxation from the days activities with super king size sofa bed (200cm x 160cm), dining table & chairs, 40 inch widescreen TV with cable channels and Blu-Ray DVD player. The dining areas provide seating and place settings for all guests. Access to the balcony from both the living room and bedroom with patio table & 4 chairs with spectacular views to the Ocean.
The luxury bedroom offers a king-size bed (150cm x 200cm), premium mattress with duvet and four pillows. A large double size wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and drawers in all bedrooms. Two bedside cabinets with designer lamps and clock radio / alarm. 32 inch LCD TV with cable channels. There is also a baby cot provided (no bedding).
The modern contemporary bathroom comes with Italian walk-in shower, hand basin, bidet and toilet. Luxury towels and hand towels are provided for all guests.
The Oceano Altantico 4 star complex features an indoor and outdoor swimming pool for adults and one for children as well as a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. The complex has an A La Carte restaurant for evening dining and buffet breakfast, paid locally within the complex or I can arrange either a Breakfast package, Half Board package or Fully Inclusive package as an extra, please enquire if you would like these packages. Free WiFi internet access is also provided throughout the complex. Bar and lounge areas. Free parking space.
The beautiful, famous and highly awarded Praia da Rocha beach is only a 10 minute walk away (650m) with lots of beach cafes, restaurants and recreational activities. A little further away is the Alvor beach with extends for 5km.
Additional local activities include:- Golf (Alto Golf course and Penina Golf Resort), diving & snorkeling, water skiing, jet skiing, hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing and parascending.
Other local attractions which can be arranged at reception include trips to Zoo Marine neat Guia and Slide n Splash near Lagoa, Boat or Canoeing trips into the beautiful sea caves near Lagos and Benagil, and Fishing trips from Portimao riverside.
The largest supermarket in Portimao (Continente) is only 600m away which provides all you essential shopping needs.

Summary: We stayed here for 7 nights in June and couldn't have been happier. First impression was a nicely sized apartment for myself, husband and 10 year old. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, with enough amenities to sustain us as self caterers. There is a double bed in the one bedroom, a large sofa bed in the lounge and a fair sized bathroom. Kitchen/diner provided a kettle, Npresso coffe machine, high range dishwasher and washing machine as well as plenty of cups,plates, cutlery and cooking equipment to go with the oven/Hob which cooked very well. Air con in both main rooms helped with the temps hitting the mid 30's most days. The hotel in which the apartment sits provides a lovely buffet breakfast for €5 PP and also has a pool, sun beds and snack bar by the pool. Locally the apartment is a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Pria Di Rocha beach with has plenty of shops and restaurants. Aqua shopping centre which houses Primark, H&M Zara Home as well as many other clothes retailers and Jumbo which is like a Portugese Asda! This is not walkable but a taxi costs €12 return. 10 minute walk from the apartment is Continente which is a big supermarket with some clothes retailers above, we used this a lot. Special mention to Mark& Alina who we rented the apartment from. They were friendly and accomdating and furnished the apartment perfectly. Would visit again and would recommend.

Summary: My wife and I spent a week in the Algarve and this apartment made our stay perfect. The location is wonderful. The most beautiful beach is a short walk away as well as many great restaurant and pubs. The view from the apartment is amazing, you look east toward the beautiful town of Portimao and the River Arade and south to the ocean. The apartment is very nice and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen that we used for several meals and the building also has a very nice restaurant and bar. The owners, Mark and Alina are very helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to see. They know the area very well. We did rent a car and spent a few days driving around the Algarve. There is plenty of free parking and the rental company picks the car up at the apartment when you are done with it. I would recommend this apartment highly and we will be staying here again when we are fortunate enough to get back to Portugal.

Summary: Stayed in this fantastic large and well equiped apartment for 5 nights. From booking to check-out everything went smoothly with great communication from Mark and Alina. The apartment is superbly well equiped just like "home from home" with dedicated fibre internet and all the little extra things provided. The location is great just a 10 minute walk from the beach and restaurants of Praia da Rocha and 10-15 minute in the other direction to 3 supermarkets. We took Mark's recommendation to visit the fish market which is definitely worth doing. We thoroughly recommend this apartment and will be coming back again, many thanks for all your wonderful hospitality and local recommendations / advice. Guido
