This charming apartment lies in an old, well-established, friendly, safe, and quiet Sanford neighborhood surrounded by expansive grounds, mature live oak trees, and colorful gardens. Downtown Sanford is an easy 16-block walk or bike ride passing historic, restored residences. Once downtown, you'll encounter seemingly endless sightseeing, shopping, dining, and relaxation opportunities in our many varied and unique shops, restaurants, pubs, and micro-breweries.
The grounds and gardens offer a pleasant environment to stroll and a popular venue for photographing bridal reveals and engagements.
The private apartment exudes an "old Florida" feel, boasting original pickled cypress paneling, large living room and bedroom, and a newly-remodeled, full kitchen. Two outside decks offer leisurely relaxation in a garden setting with views of the 1-acre grounds and park across the street. The bedroom has a reading area, desk & chair, and a king-size bed. The living room has seating for nine and a 40" flat-panel "smart" television with over-the-air channels and basic free video streaming. If you have a compatible streaming account, you can log in with your credentials and enjoy those services. We also provide free high speed Wi-Fi Internet access.
We are on a 2-block long street with a "tee" intersection at each end, where traffic is minimal and "well-behaved". Ample parking is always available on the street.

Summary: This Garden Apartment is cute and quaint. It sits in a quiet neighborhood with access to 2 comfortable decks. These decks allow views of this beautifully manicured property and Live Oak trees. The apartment is cozy with a comfy king bed, updated bathroom and a well equipped kitchen.A perfect spot to enjoy Sanford and the general area. We would love to return.

Summary: My college daughter and I met for a couple days midway between us to get away. We had no idea what a great little town Sanford is! Our stay at the "Old Florida" apartment was just right-great location, extremely clean, great communication, lovely decor and thoughtful amenities. We took full advantage of the beautiful decks overlooking the gardens and loved being in the space. Highly recommend!

Summary: We really appreciated ALL the amenities provided throughout the apartment! We LOVED the location, decor and cleanliness!! Had fun riding our bikes to and from town. Sanford provided beauty + interesting history :) :) Gary and I are VERY happy we chose this rental!!

Summary: Conveniently appointed with everything you need to easily settle in… full kitchen and surprisingly large master and spacious shower bath. Dormer windows enable you to see all views, including your street parking. Private patio provided a spacious and beautiful view of extended manicured lawn in a lovely tree-lined neighborhood. Recommend bringing a hair dryer and luggage that’s easy to carry up two short flights of stairs—I will always choose the Rooftop Garden Apartment for my stays in historic, Stanford. Hosts are kind and responsive.. perfect!

Summary: We loved the little apartment. I do have a few recommendations though. The left motion light for the bed was a bit bright and very sensitive so it woke me up a few times. And the trash can in the restroom would be better in my opinion simply for guests who are having their monthly visit with aunt flow. Everything was perfect otherwise. Thank you!

Summary: Gorgeous neighborhood and home with a superbly appointed apartment for us to spend our week.
