Welcome to Hillside Haus, a beautiful, private, and updated 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom cabin. The property is located in the gated Old Timberline neighborhood with direct access to Dolly Sods (1 mile from the cabin), community hiking trails and three small lakes for fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding. The house is also well located and within a 7 minutes drive from Timberline Ski Resort and 15 minute drive from Canaan Valley Ski Resort and White Grass Ski Resort.
After a day of hiking, biking, paddling, skiing or exploring Canaan Valley, rest up in front of the wood-burning fireplace while enjoying beautiful views of the woods and wildlife off the large back deck or do some stargazing from our dark sky compliant property. The fully updated kitchen includes everything to cook your own gourmet meals during your stay or head out to one of Canaan's great restaurants. The open floor plan allows for gathering in the cozy living room and mingling in the dining room/kitchen.
One level living (living, kitchen, three bedrooms and two baths on main level) makes this an ideal house for multiple generations. We have additional space in the lower level includes a entertainment space with a 65" smart TV, game room/rec area and an extra bedroom and bathroom. A large washer and dryer is available for guests use.
Enjoy the expansive back deck in the fresh mountain air with lounge chairs, large dining table, and Weber gas grill.

Summary: This house is wonderful and super clean. It had everything we needed. The kids especially enjoyed the game room. The rooms are well designed and thought out. The couches in the living room are so nice to lounge in especially after a full day of skiing. We had the fire place going, cheese, and wine for adults in the living room and kids were busy playing in the game room. It can't get better than that!

Summary: This was a perfect property for our President's Day ski weekend at Timberline. Hosts were attentive and easy to communicate with. The property was clean and perfect for our two families with pre-teen boys who loved the ping-pong, foosball and NBA arcade in the basement. Very close to Timberline mountain. Plus we received 7 inches of fresh snow over the weekend. Thanks to the owners for a great space for our two families to enjoy a winter get-away.

Summary: Pip was great communicator prior to stay. My wife & I came to area for some nature and hiking in Dolly Sods. Local area of Timberline is beautiful too. House was as listed, clean and well appointed. visit from small bear in the a.m. was a bonus! Highly recommend

Summary: The owner was so cooperative. Any questions we had he got back with us right away. The house is beautifully decorated. Beds were so comfortable. Everything we needed was there. If we go back to the area again, we would like to stay there again.

Summary: Extremely well maintained. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings while the kids enjoyed the game room downstairs. The kitchen is smallish but very functional and was well equipped. We had a great time skiing at Timberline and the house was a 5 minute drive from the lodge. It snowed while we were there and the driveway definitely required 4x4 (as listed). Thanks for a great vacation!
