Positive: It’s very conveniently located on the lake front. The apartment is very clean and well equipped with a full kitchen if you want to stay at home and cook your meals.
Negative: It’s extremely noisy from early morning till late at night! The train running right above your head very frequently, the tracks are right beside the house elevated above the apartment. There is a restaurant directly under this apartment and they are very noisy too. The restaurant staff has some facility room right beside the apartment which is only accessible trough the same stairs as the apartment and so they walk between your terrace and entrance all the time, leaving you no privacy on your own terrace. Large communal bins are outside the apartment, the smell from the bins and the restaurant in the evenings are bothersome , so as the noise from bin trucks , delivery trucks and road cleaning trucks every morning. There is practically no rest in this place. The sofa bed opens into a double bed if there are more than 2 people but it’s extremely uncomfortable. The shower is tiny even for a small sized person, and the entire place is much smaller than the impression the pictures give. It is not good value for money at all, the pictures totally over sell it, making it look much bigger and the terrace more secluded than it is.
Summary: Nice little apartment but super noisy all the time.

Positive: The apartment is just a few train stations from Montreux downtown and is at the beautiful lakeside. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed our walk so much that we walked kilometres along the lakeside almost reaching Montreux without realising. The location is also suitable for taking public transport such as trains and buses hence is ideal as gateway to attraction and towns nearby. The apartment is spacious and beautifully furnished with all the necessary amenities. It is located on top of a nice restaurant and surrounded by family friendly facilities. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
Negative: Even though the train station is very near, it could only be reached via a few flights of stairs and there is significant vertical distance between the station and the apartment below at the beach. Bringing heavy luggage up and down the stairs was very challenging for us. Alternative is to go along a paved road which was equally challenging due to the distance and steep slope. We were fortunate that we met one of the agent Edgar who had kindly help us with the luggage, after learning that we stayed at the apartment.

Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, this gem of an apartment provides the perfect blend of comfort and charm for your Montreux adventure
Negative: If you are arriving or departing by bus or train with lots of luggage, it would be a little difficult to take all the stairs to reach both ways.
