Positive: Views amazing, great location. Well equipped kitchen, (Nespresso machine was great!) both rooms had comfortable beds. Lovely to have outside space with particularly great views from there.
Negative: Steps down to front door would be challenging but we were careful. WiFi not too good in second bedroom but not an issue for us.

Positive: A lovely clean cottage with amazing views over the harbour in Porthmadog with the steam trains coming and going backdropped by Snowdonia. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The front terrace gets the morning sun.
Negative: Be aware that there are a number of steps or a longer hill between the cottage and the harbour. Possibly not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Positive: Watching sunrise over Snowdonia was worth getting up early for every day. The elevated from garden gives you uninterrupted views over town to the mountains. You can also watch the little trains as they come over the Cob. The Ship pub is just at the bottom of the hill and does really good food (you will need to book a table). Town Centre and the Ffestiniog Railway train station are both just a short walk away. Cottage had everything you could need plus more. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked with utensils. Shower is great. Plenty of hot water. Central heating is very good when the weather is cold.
Negative: Although we didn't have any problems, I would imagine that parking would be a bit of a lottery during summer peak season.
Summary: If you are thinking of staying in Porthmadog, you should stay here.
