We are within walking distance to many historic attractions including Culps Hill, Cemetery Ridge, Jennie Wade House, Shriver House, and 12 restaurants, Goose Bros Ice Cream Parlor & Gettysburg Mercantile Museum are both right next door. We are also only 3 blocks from the downtown square with many shops and restaurants. Grocery store is located a half mile away and is also walkable too. Downtown movie theatre and also a community theatre are just a few blocks away.
Enjoy our charming 1860s furnished bed and breakfast that sleeps up to 11 people. ALSO INCLUDED IS A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST LAID OUT IN THE KITCHEN FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. Breads, fruits, cereals, and pastries on the counter along with yogurt, milk, juice and cook your own eggs and pancakes, French toast. Fully equipped kitchen and cookout gas grill in the back yard. Two car space parking right out front.

Summary: Great location, we loved walking around downtown Gettysburg. Served us well during our family trip, had some nice theming elements and good communal space to hangout together. The breakfast foods the host provided was a really nice touch.

Summary: Our family of 10 adults had a wonderful time. The space was perfect. Breakfast was perfect and so nice not to have to go grocery shopping. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of continental breakfast items and the house was very clean. The owner communicated well and the property was as described. I want to emphasize those of staying enjoyed our stay. A few items of note: ^To get into one of the bedrooms you must go through another bedroom or a bathroom to access that particular bedroom. ^One of the bedrooms does not have A/C. ^The stairs are narrow and if you have any mobility challenges this could be an issue. Two of the couples in our group had to leave and go stay somewhere else as none of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. ^One of the bathrooms is on the first floor and only one is on the upper floors with the 5 bedrooms. ^If you have more than 2 vehicles parking is an issue. You cannot even pay to park on the street over night. I tried paying the parking meter but I got a time restricted response. I believe you cannot park there after 2 AM (this may be a city ordinance). We had 5 vehicles initially and we ultimately had 3 so we had issues with parking. There was parking up the street at a business. We could park there after hours on the weekend, but if we were staying through the week, I am not sure where we would have parked. This is mentioned in the description for the rental but I am giving more details. 6 - The furniture in the house is era appropriate so the beds are elevated. Step stools are provided on both sides of the beds where needed.
