Arrive via a half-mile driveway lined with organic apple trees and friendly deer. This 30-acre farm retreat is just 10 minutes from downtown Gettysburg yet secluded and peaceful, surrounded by wineries, orchards, golf courses, shopping, skiing, antiques, and more.
Sit on your private balcony overlooking the pastures where you’ll see horses, donkeys, Highland cow, pygmy goats, deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife.

Summary: Thank you Elizabeth and family for your warm hospitality. From the time of booking until after we left communication was quick and helpful. We felt so welcomed to your beautiful home, thanks for sharing it with us! The views are spectacular, location was easy to find with your clear directions. Thanks to your son Vaughn for the fresh eggs and animal feed that was for purchase. The kids enjoyed feeding the friendly animals, and we can see they are well taken care of! The house had great decor, including brand new stunning wall murals in the living room and pool area! Beds were comfortable, soft towels, tons of amenities throughout the house and property - and thoughtful attention to details. The pool was a real highlight, complete with pool toys and floats! We really appreciate how you go out of your way to make your guests comfortable! Hope to come again soon!

Summary: From the goats, donkeys, horses, and the friendliest cat around to the accommodations, we had an incredible stay. The home was more than well appointed. Very clean, and all the extras were a plus. The pool and hot tub were a welcome respite after a day of chasing kids around on skis. Great kitchen to enjoy a family dinner and breakfast. We will definitely be back! Thanks to Elizabeth for being such a great host.

Summary: Our extended family of 14 spent five days at this lovely home over the holidays. We particularly enjoyed the farm animals, fresh eggs, jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool and ample space to gather or enjoy some private time. The dining room table that comfortably seats 14 was a huge hit. You couldn't have asked for a more responsive host! Elizabeth was quick to reply to any questions we had and did everything to ensure that we had a perfect family gathering on their beautiful farm.

Summary: Large rooms for our family gathering. Plenty of space for the kids to play. Fabulous pool. Kids loved the friendly animals. So much outdoor area to run and play. Perfect location close to Gettysburg for historical tours. Three suggestions: 1. Update the bathrooms and you need one more for the number of guests you can accommodate. 2. Let us load the dishwasher just before we leave so that the dishes in the cabinets have been sterilized in the dishwasher and not hand washed. 3. Provide enough toilet paper for the entire stay so we don’t have to run out and buy some mid-stay. Thanks for a fun visit to beautiful Pennsylvania country!
