Summary: We have just spent a week at Gite au Coin des Papillons for Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Elisabeth (the owner) is very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. She lives next door so very handy. Property was clean, well maintained and warm on arrival. There was a lovely log fire to use which we did every day. The house has everything you need for your holiday away from home. The bedrooms are good sized and so too are the bathrooms. There is a lovely living/dining area too. We visited Strasbourg (45mins-1hr away) and also some of the local villages. Windstein has 2 castles and some lovely walks around. There is lots of history in the area with the Maginot line running through most of the local area. Germany isn't far across the border so lots to see and do. Would highly recommend and we would love to go back and explore in the Spring/Summer time.
