Located in Glastonbury, approximately 20 minutes from Gympie is this secluded and peaceful property on 40 acres. The house sits elevated on a hilltop capturing breezes and offering spectacular views. The house is large and has three bedrooms including 2 queen size beds, and a double and a single bed.
The sunken bathroom overlooks the garden and bush surroundings.
Wildlife is in abundance, especially wallabies and kangaroos and there are even resident guinea fowl which call this house their home.
There have a also recently, been deer spotted down at the dam.
To add to the ambience and for warmth in chilly winter nights, there is a pot belly stove and a good supply of firewood.
Guests can also walk or drive (if you have a four wheel drive) to the creek which adjoins the property behind the dam. There you will find swimming holes and maybe in some spots, some fish.
For the adrenaline junkies this house is a short drive away from Point Pure which has permanent hooks installed for rock climbing and abseiling.
The property is at the end of a section of unsealed road but is accessible by all vehicles. It is also locatable by GPS.
The perfect place to escape the city and unwind.

Summary: This would have to be the best holiday we have ever had, we escaped from the kids and wanted somewhere to totally disconnect from any distractions. The property which makes you feel at home the moment you drive through the gate meanders up the most private driveway opening up to incredible views of the valley below. The house is just perfect, we walked in and both said this is what we want when we retire the house itself just feels warm and inviting with its beautiful wooden floors and roof soft yet sturdy. There is so much room a large family would feel very comfortable and I imagine it would be a great escape for people who want to take their children to a comfortable yet beautiful bush house. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the bush is just a few steps beyond the lawns. You must watch the sunrise over the valley as the photos do not do it justice. Once past the grass boundary you find clear open paths into the forest consisting of large gums and deep vine forests ( we even saw a stag one morning ) close to town but feeling like you’re the only people alive we absolutely love this house and will be returning for our third stay in 2 months this week.

Summary: This gorgeous cosy comfortable home will definitely be seeing us again! We were looking for a break from busy life, and found it here. I was able to work remotely off my phone hotspot, while my family took some time to read, watch fave movies , walk and explore Gympie. Our hosts have created a welcoming atmosphere - just like visiting grandma and grandpa. Oh and the tank water tastes divine 😍

Summary: What a very comfortable, clean and spacious home! We had a lovely time exploring the property and relaxing on the verandah admiring the view. So much wildlife - bush turkeys, pretty-faced wallabies, cockatoos, pheasants, butcher birds, crows and and a myriad of other bush creatures. We were even surprised one morning to see deer who were grazing not far from the house at the top of the hill. It felt very private but still had that connection with civilization with the distant farm houses. A perfect location if you just want to chill on the verandah or a home base for exploring all the region has to offer. We are so happy to have found this location and will be doing our best to make a return visit as soon as we can.
