Positive: The highlight of this hotel is without a doubt the staff – incredibly caring, attentive, and always willing to help with anything you may need. They truly make you feel welcome and taken care of throughout your stay. The location is also excellent, making it very convenient to explore the area. The reason for my lower score is not the service or the location, but the hotel facilities. The furniture and equipment are a bit older, and they don’t look as good in person as they might in photos. I want to point this out so that future travelers are aware and don’t come with the wrong expectations. If you don’t mind older furnishings, I believe you will have a very pleasant stay thanks to the outstanding staff and great location.

Positive: Our stay at Golden Amour Hotel was quite pleasant. We spent two comfortable and quiet nights here, and I would definitely stay again if I return to Hanoi. The hotel is located on a quiet street, just a minute’s walk from the busier Old Quarter. There are several eateries (two of them Michelin-rated) and cozy coffee shops nearby — don’t miss Eggyolk’s egg coffee, which was recommended to us by Moon. We stayed in Room 401, which was clean and spacious. Since it doesn’t face the street, it’s quieter than most rooms. The bathroom was roomy and easy to move around in. The room also came with a small refrigerator and TV, though we barely used them since we were out exploring most of the day. By the time we got back, we were too tired to even turn on the TV. The bed was comfortable and firm, with two pillows per person. Breakfast was good enough, with a decent variety of options. Nam is the hardworking fellow who oversees the dining area. He’s very attentive and single-handedly manages replenishing the viands and taking made-to-order entrée requests. The staff — Moon, Richard, Hannah, and Jane — were incredibly accommodating and always helpful. Thanks to Moon’s tips, we dined at two Michelin-rated restaurants and even watched a passing train up close from a little-known café. Richard introduced us to local specialties like Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm and arranged a cyclo ride. Jane also made sure everything was in order before our arrival. If you have minor language difficulties, a translator app on your phone will help, as not everyone is fluent in English. Overall, this was money well spent and a stay we truly enjoyed.
Negative: The air-conditioning unit is a bit dated and takes some time to cool the room, which could be slightly uncomfortable in hotter months like August.

Positive: Our recent stay at the Golden Amour Hotel was truly exceptional, largely thanks to their outstanding customer service. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member was incredibly lovely and friendly, especially with my 8-year-old. A special shout-out goes to Hanna, Moon, and Richard, and the lovely lady who was at the travel advice desk, who all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We just came from a so called "5 star" hotel in Da Nang where the staff and place was miserable but this was exceeded that experience in every way. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, helpful, and genuinely contributed to making our experience feel even better. Their dedication made a significant difference to our trip. Breakfast was nice too! We were also really happy with the hotel's location, which ticked many of the boxes we needed. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city!
Negative: Not much not to like. We choose to stay in the smaller room which was fine for our travelling need and budget. Thank you again to the whole team.
