Positive: We were very well assisted so very gracefully and kind ( with good humour) by the host at the reception, Victor. He made us feel very welcome and put in all his efforts to make our stay even more pleasurable. The location of the resort is somewhat away from town , but you have to come here to really lelax and wind down and enjoy the scenery ( ocean views everywhere). The condo was luxurious and immediate makes you want to chill. The breeze restaurant is very good, breakfast very nice. From here you can visit by car ( arranged by Victor!! ) every spot on Statia. Thank you Victor!
Negative: Nothing which has to do with the property. Maybe if we would have stayed longer we would have loved to swim in the lagoon , which was not open due to Low season , I guess.
Summary: You’re in a Caribbean paradise! (Shout out to Victor!)

Positive: The location and how the resort has grown and flourished is just amazing. The lushy gardens, the setting of the restaurant, the cottage i slept in with a wonderful view over the ocean. The bed was super good. The attendants were kind and helpful. The owner came to check which gave a personal touch to staying in (what still is) a big resort. The resort was calm (maybe because of low season) but I enjoyed that a lot. The second pool is beautiful with an amazing view on the Quill.
Negative: For me personally I don't need music at the swimming pool, cause I like to read and relax, and the choice of music was a little off sometimes for the scenery. There was however the choice to stay at the other pool, which had no music and was very tranquil. I a big resort like this one, I would opt for a more extensive breakfast with several options, in relation to the grandness of the place. I like the a la carte idea, but I would suggest some fixed items like fruit, yoghurt, breads, cheese, coffee, juice and on top of that for example every day a little something from the oven or sweet cake, plus always the option of eggs by choice. One afternoon the snacks (bitterballen etc) at the restaurant were not so good, seemed like frying oil had not been hot enough. So with some improvements there, the place will be really rocking!

Positive: It is a very nice resort with amazing gardens and views all around the resort. The pool next to the restaurant was really nice (the second pool not so much, and the poolbar at the second pool was closed). It is a large resort; we stayed one week in a 2 bedroom villa which was quite a walk to the pool and the restaurants, but because of the beautiful plants, flowers, music from the speakers etc, this was not a problem. And if needed, there is a little train available. The villa was nicely decorated, with all amenities you need, and very good beds and pillows. Front desk arranged dinner reservations, free shuttle from the airport, car rental, etc. Both restaurants were very good. Breakfast was included, and is a very nice a la carte with as much coffee and juice as you like; we even got complementary smoothies.
Negative: There are 2 restaurants at the resort, but it was not always clear which restaurant would be open for dinner (even after asking the front desk we were sent to the wrong restaurant one time, which was quite a walk). Communication on this should be better.

Negative: More precise & detailed communication from the receptionist staff and little more comfortable approach &!hospitality from the train drivers.
