Country Farm House with magnificent view of Peaks of Otter and surrounding mountains located in Bedford County, VA.
Single family home, privately owned available as vacation rental in quiet neighborhood 5 miles North of Bedford just off Route 122.
Features and/or includes; furnished kitchen with small appliances, large Great Room, dining rooms, large breakfast room, two bedrooms with queen size beds in each on first floor, master bath with larger shower, washer and dryer, full bath with tub and shower on main level. New heat pump.
Second floor has two (2) small bedrooms, full size bed in room on left, two twin beds in room on right, with low ceilings and half bath between rooms.
Covered front porch and garage with sliding glass doors facing the mountains, large level yard and plenty of parking. Patio with tables and chairs and propane fire pit.
A great get-away or have a small wedding out door beneath the mountain views.

Summary: Our family of five adults stayed for my son’s graduation from LUCOM. Preston and Judy were super friendly and kind. The property is gorgeous! It was the perfect place to stay for us. The house had all the comforts of home. It was wonderful living in the country for a few days and taking many beautiful photos. Highly recommend! If we ever make it back to Lynchburg, we will stay here again.

Summary: The property is beautiful and the house is a darling old farmhouse that was so cozy and homey. The hosts are wonderful people, with whom we had the privilege of visiting with during our stay. We stayed here for our son’s graduation from Liberty University, which is a 30 minute drive from the property. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Summary: We originally had another place booked deep in the mountains that got snowed in. We were able to book this location in the nick of time and we just cant say enough good things about the location, the views and Mr. And Mrs. Layne. Everything worked out perfect and I dont think it could have possibly gone better. Thanks to both of you for letting us have our wedding there.

Summary: We had such a nice time. The farmhouse is large, well equipped and updated, with a few old fashioned touches to preserve its character. It's very peaceful with no close neighbors.The view is almost as good as being on the parkway. The parkway in this area is spectacular. Our favorite was seeing the "Star" in Roanoke.Our thanks to the Laynes. I hope we were good guests.

Summary: We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is big and clean and inviting. The decor is comfortable and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit ( gas ) and the back porch the most. We watched the sun set over the Peaks of otter and the sunrise from the front porch. The owner came over to say hello, and we talked a bit. He was very friendly. We will definately look to stay here again in the future.

Summary: It is impossible to overstate the views of and from this home. The Peaks of Otter from the simple but excellent back patio. And more. Absolutely nothing unpleasant in any direction. The house is highly functional and has a country home vibe. Nothing really modern but quality is fine. Equipped with everything we needed. We were especially impressed by the heating system. The hosts live nearby and farm parts of the surrounding area, so are plenty accessible. One suggestion: we did not find a house book with details, instructions, suggestions. For example, we did not figure out the dvd player (chose not to ask) and the WiFi information was confusing and even contradictory. But these were very minor things in an overall terrific package.
