In the holiday refuge for 6 people it is located in an idyllic location on the edge of the city. On the 3600 m² property, completely enclosed w/park-like green areas, garden pond w/fish and streams, you can breathe in the best air in Germany (according to the federal environmental office). Children can play on a large lawn w/a swing and sandbox. On the bordering meadows, you can pet our lambs. The holiday apartment is 120 m² & has a separate entrance, ground floor & is thus ideal for older & slightly handicapped individuals. The holiday apartment has heated flooring & tiles, except for the 2 bedrooms. In front of the holiday apartment are furnished terraces & grilling options. Parking directly in front of the door. The holiday apartment is equipped with a large eat-in kitchen (dining space for 6 people) and separate entrance to the terrace. 3 double bedrooms with 1 small bed for children, 1 living room SAT-TV, radio (upholstered furniture for 6 people), reading corner, large bathroom.

With the steam engine through the forest - this is a lot of fun for children and adults. A visit to the hiking and wild parks is worthwhile. Hiking or participating in a guided hike with luggage transfer. You can also do popular Nordic fitness or visit the many museums and monuments. An entertaining adventure. Popular events and festivals await you. The forest has a lot to offer in culinary matters. Also, mushroom and wild herb excursions with dining and wine tests and wine festivals on the Mosel, etc. are very popular. We would be happy to help you.

Summary: The Ruthig family are very friendly and hospitable owners of the property who live above the apartment. Given the language barrier, we all did very well and understood each other most of the time! - and lead to some interesting conversations! The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, clean but surprisingly for us there is no dishwasher but this might be normal in holiday lets in Germany. Everything else and more was there and all to a high standard. Because we live in the north of England, we travelled overnight on the ferry from Hull to Zeebruge. Off the boat by 9am, it was only 259 miles to Prosterath (all toll-free motorway virtually including the Brussels ring-road) and we arrived at 15.00 hours after lunching off the motorway in Spa in Belgium not far from the Belgian border with Germany. The apartment is situated on the side of a hill in a beautifully maintained garden with plenty of seating (and tables) arranged in different places to enjoy the views of the distant hills. The whole area is a nature reserve presumably equivalent to our National Parks and is a very wooded area with lots of forests and valleys. Cycle ways (radwegs) and footpaths everywhere. Trittenheim on the Moselle with vineyards and wine shops only 20 minutes drive away. This is an area few English people visit (we only saw four English vehicles during the fortnight we were there and they were in the more touristic Moselle valley. It is a very interesting area and the German people we met are very accommodating. Plenty of shops and small supermarkets locally and prices are good especially beer, wine and spirits. All in all a good location for a holiday in an area you may not have considered before. We were also lucky in that we had two weeks of sunshine while those at home were less lucky. But then we were close to the Moselle wine growing region and the Romans were not daft!

Summary: We had a wonderful time, Ursula and her family are very kind and welcoming. Our children had a fabulous time with all of the toys / play things in the garden. The area is beautiful, it is very peaceful and quiet yet close to Trier and other places worth visiting.

Summary: my family truly enjoyed Christmas there, my little one was a bit disappointed that there was no snow, but excellent company of similarly aged friend compensated well enough. it is a quiet place with lovely views, trips to nearby attractions make the stay interesting anyway. Frau Ursula might not speak English, but her genuine welcoming way of communication makes it easy to understand each other (in case you still need to speak English, the other members of the family will certainly provide;). it is a big apartment within the same building, but with separate entry on the other side, so if you look for some privacy, you can easily spend entire day on your own. but if you want to have a friendly chat, just head up the path around the house and have a cup of tea or coffee with the hosts. you shall enjoy it even if you do not speak German

Summary: We spent my wonderful 60th birthday trip at this very nice home which was very spacious, clean, and beautiful. The apartment felt very homey and the area is very scenic and peaceful. This place is centrally located to all the places we wanted to go and it made it very easy for us to go and do what we wanted. It is very close (20-30 minutes) to Bernkastel, Trier, and Traben-Trabach. The views from the patio are really pretty and the patio is a wonderful place to sit and have a glass a wine and relax after a day of sight-seeing. The family is very gracious and welcoming. They made our stay quite enjoyable and we would be more than happy to stay at this residence at any time in the future. I totally hope that we can plan a return trip in the future but hopefully for a longer time period. We were here from 5/20 to 5/27 and loved every minute of our stay. You do need a car and the closest grocery store is just a few kilometers from the house but we went frequently with no problem at all. It was even quite fun to roam around the Deutsche grocery stores to compare products. We were delighted to find an Aldi's grocery store as that is one of the stores we shop at home. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay - this is it. We were a party of 3 and the apartment is really large and has plenty of sleeping areas and could easily sleep 8-10 if you also used the couches provided although there are 3 bedrooms and multiple beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining table that seats 6. There is a large full size table on the patio for out door eating and they even have a work shed that holds a bar-b-que grill if you want to cook out. This is a much better place to stay than a generic hotel and you truly get a better vacation experience living in the small village this house is located in. We can't say enough about this very nice family and their very nice vacation rental. Do yourself and you family a favor and be sure and give this place a try. You will not regret it. Summary: This is such a good place to stay we are planning to go back again. It is really great (and unusual) to find somewhere that we want to return to.The owners were particularly helpful and friendly.We were extremely pleased with this accommodation.It is close to Town yet is located in a quiet, secluded and picturesque area with broad sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.If you have children they will love this home as it has so many toys and play areas.The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare a great meal. The home is very large and comfortable. You can park right up to the front door. A lovely well maintained and comfortable house. We want to thank you for putting so much care into your home. Summary: Just returned from a wonderful summer holiday in the Hunsrück area, definitely an idyllic location with wonderful views and scenery everywhere. This is a superb holiday apartment, very well equipped with everything you need. The property was very clean and well maintained – lots of towels and bed-linen provided. The apartment has great privacy and is very peaceful with your own garden and entrance. Sun loungers are provided so visitors can relax and enjoy the peace and the sunshine. The garden has a huge trampoline which children will enjoy. Ursula (the owner) and her family were fantastic to us. They were very welcoming, extremely helpful and friendly all the time. Ursula is a great hostess and really looked after us all the time.The best hostess we ever met! We will definitely return to Antoniusstraße 6, Beuren Prosterath. We had a fantastic holiday there and the beautiful sunshine was an added bonus.
