1 Bedroom Apartment in Cambridge

Welcome to our 1890's guest apartment (2nd floor - stairs) located on a beautifully tree-canopied street. In the original gas light district of West Galt, it has an abundance of historical features and a touch of modern life. You will have an experience like no other. We are close to three wedding venues and many restaurants. Come and see our historical little city.
This is a second-floor apartment of our home. There are stairs up to the apartment.

Cabinet queen Murphy bed.
The kitchen is complete with china, glassware, cooking utensils, microwave, fridge, stove, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, grill sandwich maker, salt pepper, oil, flour, pancake mix, syrup, coffee, decaf coffee, tea, milk and cream. Washer and dryer are in the apartment with laundry soap and fabric softener.
The beds have comfortable hotel-quality mattresses, white linens, extra pillows and cozy blankets for a restful nights sleep.
The bathroom has towels, shampoo, body wash and hand soap.
You will be provided with a code to a lock box to the left of the front door that allows for easy and flexible access during your stay. Access to the suite is is through this shared entrance and to the left up the stairs through the apartment door. There will be two keys, one for the front door and one for the apartment door. We live on the main level of our home.
Our House Rules: not suitable for infants under 2, not suitable for children aged 2 - 4, primary renter must be 20 or older, no smoking, no parties or events.
Please lock the front door each time you leave or re-enter. We do own a dog, Charlie. He is very lovable but we do try to keep him contained in our home. You may hear him bark or growl just say Hi Charlie and it will be all ok!

Summary: I spent close to a month renting this property. With short notice I was in need of a place to stay for a teaching placement. Mike and Susan were very kind and set up the space amazingly do that all I needed to bring was my clothes. Communication was easy if there was anything I needed and they were always willing to get something if I needed it. Real perks for me too included the dishwasher and laundry machine. This made it a flawless stay. The neighborhood was beautiful, there was parking accessible and a separate entrance within the foyer. I would reccomend this quality property to anyone visiting the area.

Summary: This suite is a little gem in a gorgeous neighborhood. The hosts left us a greeting card with a box of local chocolates. There were flowers in every room, and thoughtful touches like toiletries in the bathroom and tea/coffee and microwave popcorn in the kitchen. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, was that the bed was on the soft side. Fine for an overnight, but I wouldn’t have enjoyed sleeping on it for a long stay.

Summary: This is a lovely apartment, equipped with everything you could need. It's beautifully and very comfortably furnished. Susan and Mike are gracious hosts who provided extra touches to make the stay very special. They were always available if we needed anything. The house is on a lovely quiet residential street, yet close to downtown Cambridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Summary: Susan and Mike were such amazing hosts. They were attentive and friendly, but it was also clear that we had complete privacy during our stay. We were also lucky enough to meet their adorable dog Charlie. The place was super cozy and beautifully decorated, as well as very clean, with every amenity you might need. It’s so great when a place exceeds your expectations like this. I marvelled at how idyllic their quiet street was - it was like travelling to another time. I look forward to staying again in the summer. I really hope the place is available on my next trip to Cambridge.
