Positive: This was our final guesthouse on the trail from Mestia to Ushguli. Irma and her Family were very welcoming hosts, especially the food was excellent and plentyful. The Vila is a bit outside of Ushguli which was perfect for us, as it's less busy.

Negative: The dog was quite active during the night, barking at the shadows. If you are a very light sleeper you might want to consider.

Positive: 1 million dollar view from the porch and bedroom window. Plenty of private parking on site. Dinner for 35 Lari, which was really tasty. Simple but functional.

Negative: Shower was hot but not very comfortable, they might still be working on finishing the bathroom

Positive: The facility is runned by a local family, The location is amazing. The food she prepared for me was really good. I had lunch and dinner, and the room was okay with a great view. There is also a big living room with couches and tables.

Negative: The family takes everything very separately and mysterious. They never showed me around the property, and I never had a conversation with them. They are way too much reserved. I basically spend 3 days upstairs by myself. They have 2 dogs, which they let free only during the night, and they bark for the whole night and morning no-stop. I couldn't sleep at all. The toilet of the bathroom was broken since the beginning they never tried to repair it. The pressure of the shower is ridiculous low. The bed is too soft and not really comfortable. Im sorry to say that but they need a lot of improvement.

Positive: 5 clean rooms on the second floor with 1 bathroom. The best location to start hikes, but it's far from the main attractions in the village (20 minutes by foot). There is a comfortable space for barbeque with a beautiful view of the river, village and mountains. Thank you very much!

Negative: No kitchen, there is just a kettle (but it's possible to order food) No parking near the guesthouse (5 minutes walk across the river down and up)

Summary: Good place to stay in if you maki skitour/backcountry

Positive: The hotel is located between two villages, has a private vehicular bridge and a large parking area. The hotel also offers breakfast and dinner with traditional dishes, horse riding with an experienced guide, the price of everything will be determined on the spot. The entire Ushgul can be seen from their territory, there are beautiful views. There is a separate bathroom reserved for tourists and you don't have to go out. There is also heating in the room. You will be greeted by friendly hosts. I recommend visiting this hotel when you visit Ushgul.
