Positive: everything was perfect—very peaceful spot with an interesting heritage house. everything you need with nothing your missing! nice little garden to drink your coffee. probably my favourite spot out of the 12 different hotels I stayed at in japan.
Negative: honestly nothing. i did bump my head on the doorways but thats all Japanese houses haha (I'm only 182 cm or 6'0")

Positive: it's an amazingly beautiful house in old style, wind rattles the paper walls, fireplace in the living room, and you can imagine how life must have bee then, in a residential neigbourhood. I got the whole house on my own and soft jazzy piano music kept me company. The owner is super friendly, and gave me a lift back to the station. He lend me a bicycle for the 3 days, which is a great way of exploring a lot of temples and Dogo. Highly recommended!
Negative: it is about 30' walk from the station, not easy to find (but well explained). And once you have the bicycle you are very happy to be in a quiet residential part of town. highly recommended
Summary: authentic old style house, very beautiful and relaxing.

Positive: The place was perfect for our group, we had a lot of space, got to borrow bikes for free, utilised the big kitchen. We loved the atmosphere of the place and all agreed that we would stay here again, it was lovely. The owners were very kind and offered us anything we needed.
Negative: The only small thing that we did not like, was that the accommodation did not lock. Thankfully we didn't have any valuables with us and we were a big group, so we weren't afraid (also Japan is very safe).
Summary: Amazing place, would recommend!
