Waitarere Beach is the pearl of the Horowhenua. A wonderful beach for walking, swimming, and relaxing.
A fantastic little beach community with convenient 4 Square, restaurant, cafe, and takeaways.
Walking or mountain-biking in the Waitarere Forest is an alternative way to unwind to walking along the beach watching the sunset.
Levin is 15km away and a great place to shop and play, especially at the Aquatic Centre.
Foxton is 18km, make sure you visit the Wind Mill.
Otaki is only 35km away for that "shop till you drop" desire.
Waitarere Beach is easily accessible from Wellington (109km), Palmerston North / Feilding (60km), and Wanganui (100km).
Use it for a total holiday, or commute to work leaving the family at the beach.
We are a 2 min walk to the beach with the choice of 2 beach accesses.

Summary: Was ideal for the number of people staying. 10 all up. House and sleepout setting. Each family had there own space and great for kids to play. Hosts was very accommodating. Very easy flowing and relaxed environment. Families also mentioned beds were very comfortable. Thank you Mike and Lynne they already talking about rebooking.

Summary: Happy Haven is a wonderful place to stay. It is well equipped and roomy, and it has a fully fenced, safe backyard which is perfect for our family. The location is great, being close to the beach. Lynne and Mike are excellent to deal with. We’d definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Summary: We always enjoy our holidays at this lovely property. There is plenty of room to spread out and it has everything we require for our family. It is well fenced, close to the beach and a short walk to the shop. The property managers are wonderful to deal with and we recommend this property to family and friends.
