2 Bedroom House in Waitarere Beach

Waitarere Beach is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed pace of life. Get away for a weekend or mix business and pleasure with the convenience of working remotely with unlimited fibre broadband. Enjoy beach and forest walks or fabulous lazy days watching TV, DVDs playing games or reading books by the fire.
NB: This is not serviced accomodation so guests are required to provide their own linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels and teatowels), and thoroughly clean and tidy the bach before departure. ie The bonus being that there are no compulsory fees added for linen or cleaning.
The bach is checked between stays to ensure a high quality of cleanliness and presentation and we keep the facilities well maintained.
Our pricing is based on 2 adults with up to 2 children staying free. Each additional adult is $20, additional child $10 per night on top of base rate.
Small children are kept safe on the deck with a slide in gate. Watch the kids riding their bikes around the cul de sac enjoying with a glass of wine on the front deck or relax under the sunshade in the BBQ area.

Beach access just across the road for a safe, serene 5-7 min walk to the beach through 2 pedestrian walkways.
The Beach Retreat is just a short stroll away from the local Four Square, and a popular cafe/restaurant/ takeaway outlet.
Visit the historic site of the grounding of ship the Hydrabad down the beach and check out Middle Earth which is a children's playground situated in the forest at the southern end of Waitarere.
Enjoy swimming on the safe beach with surf lifesaving patrols operating in the summer months.
Waitarere has 2 large forestry areas accessible to the public and vehicles can easily access/are permitted on the beach.
The Public Reserve has a children's playground, half pipe, BBQ facilities and tennis courts.
In summer there is the Big Dig and the popular Waitarere Forest Run is held every April.
SOUTH:
LEVIN: a huge Children's Adventure Playground, Movie Theatre, Aquatic Centre and Golf Course
Ruahini Forest Park - various hiking trails. In the hills behind Levin.
OTAKI: (30 mins) a variety of outlet stores.
Captivate Adventures - outdoor adventure company up the Otaki Gorge for rafting etc
NORTH:
PALMERSTON NORTH (50 mins) Esplanade Gardens, Lido Aquatic Centre plus everything a city has to offer.....
FOXTON: (15 Mins) Off The Loop water park, Dutch (De Molen) Windmill. The Dutch Market, and Flax Stripper Museum.

PETS *PLEASE ENQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING. Property doesn't suit large dogs. Small to medium NON SHEDDING dogs considered.
*As with many properties in Waitarere we use bore water. We have a water filter/softener which greatly improves water quality however there is still some colour so we also provide 20 litre containers of fresh drinking water.

Summary: Stayed for the weekend, family of 4. The house was clean and we had everything we needed. The location is great, close to the beach and the kids enjoyed skating near the house. Host was lovely and communicated well. We were given lots of information and they told us everything we needed to know which helped things go smoothly.

Summary: Talk about making a quick weekend getaway easy and relaxing with great communication from owner and with easy laid out instructions of how it all works. We settled in and had a wonderful time and it felt like a home away from home with everything we needed. Summary: The property is very pleasant, relaxing and had everything we needed. The cost for our stay was very reasonable.It is a pleasant walk to the beach of a few blocks through easy to find walkways. It was very quiet while we were there as well as being warm and sunny. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Summary: Stayed with family, other than the iron in the bore water which is outside anyones control (host provides drinking water) we enjoyed everything else about the house and had a really good stay. Higjly recommended.
