Positive: Our Terrace Room was exceptionally comfortable with all the facilities we could want and a fantastic view of the Huon River. It was spotlessly clean. The included breakfast was beautifully presented very healthy and with lots of choices. Our hosts Maria and Wayne were very friendly and helpful and greatly add to the experience iif staying at Hillside B&B.

Negative: We could not fault anything.

Summary: A wonderful place to stay with lovely hosts and very good value.

Positive: Hosts Maria and Wayne were very friendly and accommodating. Maria showed us through the room and the adjoining dining and kitchen area efficiently and warmly. We were encouraged to explore the beautiful gardens. The room was comfortable and well furnished with everything needed to make our stay special. Bed was very comfy. Bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed. Shower lovely and hot. We had our own coffee/tea making facilities and fridge in the room, but we were also welcome to use the main kitchen as well. Breakfasts were yummy and it was nice to chat with fellow travellers. We were given lots of advice on where to go and what to see in the area. The little balcony had a lovely view of the Huon River over the top of the gardens.

Negative: Google Maps directed us wrongly, taking us past the entrance to the next road, which led us to someone else's house! There is a good sign alerting you to the coming entrance, but it's still easy to miss if going too fast. The driveway is slightly scary to exit from, especially if turning right to Huonville, but the road is not too busy.

Summary: Charming respite with friendly hosts and lovely view.

Positive: Our host was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room had a nice ambience as did the communal breakfast room. Her attention to detail with respect to our comfort was a nice touch. The breakfast was nicely prepared, the muffins baked onsite and the coffee very much to our liking. The room was tastefully decorated, the window coverings of excellent quality and the bed comfortable. A glass of port was provided as a complimentary treat. Private off street parking was available and the gardens surrounding the property were well kept. Traffic noise from the nearby road was minimal and certainly not intrusive.

Negative: Can't think of anything that detracted from the overall very positive experience
