Positive: The room was well equipped with the basics: comfortable bed, small fridge, TV, microwave, I had a parking space right outside my door. The price was good. The room was clean. The place is old but appears to be well maintained. Everything worked (A/C, plumbing, lighting) except as noted below. The two chairs in the room were comfortable.
Negative: The lighting was sub-standard. The overhead light glared off the TV screen, but if you turned off the ceiling light there was no light at all except for bathroom lighting (if the bathroom door was left open). The lamp between the beds either did not work or I couldn't find the switch. The TV remote battery cover kept falling off although someone had attempted to secure it with Scotch tape. There was an old rotting vinyl chair on the patio that should be hauled away to the landfill. The flooring was spongy in a few places, especially between the bathroom and bedroom (possible indication of rot underneath the flooring?) although I was not inconvenienced in any way by that.
Summary: Old hotel, well maintained, good value.

Positive: The location was convenient to my area destinations and near stores, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful!
Negative: The property is very old and outdated, though the staff does their best with what they have to work with. Everything worked, but the bathroom, the tub/shower in particular, needs help. Though I wouldn’t say it was dirty, it seemed that way because everything is so old and in need of upkeep. The parking lot is cramped, and it’s hard to maneuver, depending upon your spot. The property is on the main street through town, and traffic noise was occasionally an issue. There were no amenities, like coffee and a few breakfast items, that I would expect at this price point. Though, I don’t see how that’s possible given the small office. It’s a hotel from yesteryear. If you want a place to sleep, it’ll do, but don’t expect more than that. Had I known all this, I would have spent $20 more and gone to a cheap but more modern hotel.
