Beautifully restored circa 1807 home in the heart of the Saint Marys Historic District. This home, known as the cannonball home was originally a study for Horace Pratt, the minister of the first Presbyterian Church in Saint Marys and was located on the Orange Hall property. The home was hit with a cannonball during the Civil War and the damage is still seen today! This historic home has a traditional wrap around porch and 12 foot ceilings.
A lovey and short .3 mile walk from the home and you are at St. Marys Howard Gilman Memorial Waterfront Park, divine Saint Mary's Seafood river front restaurants, Knuckleheads Kayak Adventures, the ferry to Cumberland Island, and more.

Summary: This was a fantastic place to stay. Very convenient to restaurants and water front. House is big with so much history, everywhere you looked there was something else to see. Host was great with communication, would definitely stay here again.

Summary: We chose to stay in the historical part of St. Mary’s. Our first visit there. Staying at the Cannon Ball house was extra special. It clearly is an older historic house- as is the entire historic area- but very clean, well air conditioned with fans in every room, comfortable beds.. plenty of room.

Summary: The home is located in a quaint neighborhood. I felt safe walking in the evening. Easy walk to the river and a small park. The home is historic and spacious. We had plenty of room to allow everyone to have space. I found the bed to be comfortable. Plenty of dishes for cooking and extra items needed such as the occasional band aid. Quick response to any questions.
