Summary: This was our fourth stay at Merry Mermaid Cottage in the past five years. Every visit has been wonderful. The cottage is perfectly located for an easy walk to the St. Marys waterfront. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing, and the cottage is well-appointed and just right for a couple (and their dogs). We have stayed four nights each time, devoting one day for the waterfront and its shops and restaurants, one day spent at Cumberland Island National Seashore, and one day on a road trip to sights along the Georgia-Florida coast. This year we traveled to Jekyll Island for our road trip. In the past, we've traveled to Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine, FL. The host, Barbara Ryan, is super accommodating and in touch prior to our visit. We really couldn't ask for anything else. Thanks again for an exceptional stay, and we look forward to returning again next year!

Summary: Place seemed bigger than the photos showed. Very nice place. Host was available by phone but otherwise did not communicate with us while we were there. Upon first entering, it smelled like concentrated fabuloso, the cleaning product used. It was clean, just not pristine, which was ok with us. cleaning
