Characterful Ardennes house equipped for 18 people completely renovated at the end of 2022 and located in the nature reserve "Fond des Vaulx". Holiday home with sauna, hammam, rain shower and whirlpool. Digital TV and free WIFI. Uniquely located, in the Nature Reserve "Fond des Vaulx" with its caves and the Gouffre Trotti-aux-Fosses, yet less than 1 km from the center of Marche-en-Famenne with terraces and restaurants. Hiking and mountain biking trails pass by the house. The house was renovated at the end of 2022. In the small outbuilding you will find a wellness area equipped with: infrared sauna, hammam, rain shower, 2 person whirlpool and relaxation lounge. In the main building ground floor: spacious lounge with sufficient seating space (fireplace, bar, LCD TV, digital TV, WiFi), dining room, equipped kitchen (induction hobs, oven, refrigerator, microwave, Senseo, coffee maker), 2 toilets, washing machine and Dryer. On the 1st floor: 7 bedrooms with private bathroom with shower and sink (3 with a double bed and 4 with 2 single beds), 1 bedroom with two bunk beds, 2 separate toilets. Pets are welcome.
Reservations for groups of persons under 30 years of age are not permitted It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

Summary: Mooie locatie, het was echter erg vochtig in de kamers.

Summary: Na heel wat heen-en-weer gemail omwille van annulaties en corona kon ons vriendenweekend eindelijk doorgaan. We hadden op voorhand beslist, niet te veel poespas. Het gaat om het samen zijn met vrienden. Maar o jee, wat hebben wij ons mispakt aan dit vakantiehuis. Als eerste hadden wij 2 kinderbedden en 2 kinderstoelen aangevraagd. Deze werden pas, hou je vast, om 22ste ‘s avonds gebracht… ronduit schandalig. Het was er ook ronduit smerig. Elke douche had schimmel. Zelf in de relaxruimte in het bijgebouw, schimmel en vieze vegen op de kussens van de zetel. Als het huis zo slecht onderhouden is, wat dan met deze sauna/dat bubbelbad? Echt goor! Niemand wou er in! Aan de muren van het toilet gingen spetters. Je kan er zelf wel een tekeningetje bij maken hé… Verschillende slaapkamers roken naar benzine/mazout, waardoor het onmogelijk was om daar te slapen. Waardoor we soms met 4 tot 6 personen (met babies!!! ) samen moesten slapen in 1 kamer. Ook was er heel wat materiaal te kort in het huisje. Zoals wijnopeners of zelfs glazen hadden wij niet genoeg voor iedereen…. Maar dan wel op het einde een heel strenge lijst met alle zaken die gepoetst/weggeruimd moesten worden met de daaraan ‘nodige’ kosten verbonden indien niet in orde. Ook al hadden wij betaald voor cleaning service achteraf. Ik ben benieuwd wat deze mensen dan wél poetsen… Het geld wordt hier wel zeer makkelijk verdiend… Wie rijk wil worden: koop u een aftands huis in de Ardennen en vraag er maar goed veel geld voor. Werk heb je er toch niet aan.

Summary: Het huis waar we verbleven heeft echt veel mogelijkheden moest men het huisje ook verzorgen. Binnen hingen er in verschillende kamers stofnetten. Bij ons eerste ontbijt bleken er nog eierresten te hangen aan de pan, te danken aan de vorige huurders. Als men de kastdeuren in de keuken opende kwam er een mazoutgeur uit. De keuken heeft ook niet al het benodigde materiaal om daar met een groep van 16 volwassenen en twee kinderen te eten. Te weinig bestek, slechts 3 (DRIE) champagneglazen (terwijl we daar zitten tijdens de Kerstperiode), geen snijplanken en een vaatwasmachine die maar op één programma meer kan draaien (een programma van 3,5u) In het toilet op het benedenverdieping was de verf afgebladerd en hing het vol schimmel aan de muren. Het salon echter is wel deftig ingericht met een gezellige open haard. Je mag wel de dampkap in de keuken niet aansteken of je trekt alle rook uit de haard terug naar binnen. Op het bovenverdieping een beetje hetzelfde verhaal. Sommige kamers waren in orde met een vernieuwde douche. In andere kamers was er schimmel, hing er een deel van het plafond los en zijn twee deurkasten beschadigd. In één van de deuren was een gat geslaan. Ook hier in sommige kamers stofnetten en heel veel vuil onder de bedden. De SPA-ruimte was wel goed. Een mooie en goede jacuzzi, een infraroodsauna en een stoombad. Wel een koude vloer dus een paar sandalen is welgekomen. Alleen ook hier terug schimmel te vinden op de kussens van het bed die er staat. Van alles zijn er foto’s getrokken. Kortom. Het huisje waar we verbleven heeft echt wel veel potentieel maar moet dringend onderhouden, geverfd en behandeld worden tegen vocht. Eerlijk gezegd hebben we te veel betaald voor de huur in deze periode voor de staat waarin het huisje zich bevond.

Summary: Kamers zijn zeker ok maar verblijf heeft opknapping nodig, verder te verbeteren : veel lampen in de living stuk, het is sowieso donkere plek waar de haard tocht veroorzaakt, er zok, veel leuke dingen in het salon allemaal zonder batterijen in de afstandsbedieningen, bubbelbad is geen jaccuzi en lekt, een paar mokken om koffie te drinken zouden leuk zijn ... ik zie enorm veel potentieel maar er zal een minimum moeten geïnvesteerd worden ...
