The Villa Andrea is gorgeous on the mountain in Kalathos. It was built in 2013/2014 in a traditional style and has 108 sqm of living space.
It has a total area of ​​660 square meters. Downstairs there is a fully air-conditioned, spacious living, dining area with open, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with shower and toilet. From here it goes to the large covered terrace with lounge furniture and seating for 8-10 people, and a table for another 6 persons in direct pool nearby. There is also the possibility of the car under the carport noted.
Upstairs are the two air-conditioned bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. Both bedrooms have a balcony, which invites almost to the evening with a glass of wine or in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the ocean with a cup of coffee or an espresso.
In the garden is the large 8x4m pool can be easily entered via a staircase in the, and the brick barbecue.
When equipping the kitchen, special attention was paid to the things that are often lacking in rental homes. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, large fridge / freezer, toaster, espresso maker, coffee maker, kettle and a generous equipment of cutlery, crockery and glasses.
In living-dining area there is a large flat screen television with satellite TV. In the lower bathroom is the washing machine. In the bedrooms there are ordinary mattress and adjustable bed frames and the ceiling cupboards provide sufficient storage space for longer stays.

Summary: We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Andrea. The villa was spotlessly clean and spacious enough for the 4 of us. We enjoyed time on the terrace with sofa and sitting at the outdoor dining space overlooking the sea - just bliss! We had a problem with the water pump but this was sorted out straight away by the lovely housekeeper Katrine. The villa is easy to find in Kalathos which is a small town with excellent coffee shop/bakery and with main supermarket only 5/10 mins away and only 10 mins into Lindos Acropolos and town & St Paul's Bay. The nearby beaches were just beautiful and perfect for early morning swim before it gets too hot! Local restaurants were excellent, offering traditional Greek food and wines. We were very happy at Villa Andrea and will return again as the local area had so much to offer. It is worth noting that the jacuzzi bath has been replaced with a beautiful, and much more useful, walk in shower. Thank you to the owner for being very helpful with recommendations and responsive to queries. Til next time yammas!

Summary: We loved the property and its private location nestled in the hills above Kalathos with lovely views. The wifi and AC were a boon for our mix of sun lovers and content addicted teenagers. We liked to swim a few times each day in the crystal clear waters of the local beaches. St Pauls and Haraki were particular favourites although both busy. It was easy to drop in, swim and then retire the private and comfortable haven that was Villa Andreas. We managed to take in an Aegean Sunset on the west of the island which was a relatively short drive from Kalathos. Lots of local restaurants within 5/6 Km although Konstantin within 1km was a particular favourite. The local supermarket on the Lindos/Lardos roundabout was only 1Km away. Andreas and his team on the ground in Kalathos couldn't have done more to ensure that our visit was enjoyable and hassle free. We had a very happy holiday and would recommend the villa as an ideal comfortable base from which to explore or swim.
