Positive: We chose this property for the price and location for a quick overnight trip to see a show at Wildwood Saloon. The king size bed and pillows were comfy and the room was clean enough.
Negative: The hallways smell like stale cigarette smoke. We've stayed at this location before when it was owned by a different property and they have made some updates to the rooms but I wish they would have removed all of the carpet and not just from the entry way inside the door and bathroom. The TV screen kept going in and out on all channels. Sometimes it would work, others it would be a black screen but we could still hear the audio. We do overnights in Iowa City 3-5 times a year and I think next time we will look for a new property.

Negative: Elevator was not working properly. Getting up to floor was fine going down Elevator would not come to floor when called up. Long walks to rooms when got on floor.

Negative: Getting to your room was like walking thru a maize. Elevators tucked away. Poor signage. No breakfast,included but at the very least a complimentary coffee bar in the lobby would have been nice.
Summary: Comfortable room, but overall building way too big for tired overnite travelers to navigate.

Positive: The staff at the desk was amazing! We had a couple issues and she got in top of it right away!
Negative: The toilet was not working correctly. We told front desk right away. She called someone to come check it out and that person was kind of rude. Said it was our fault and then when she found out that we had only been there for 20 min she turned it to the new plumbing. Switched our room and rudely told my husband to go flush the toilet to make sure it was to his liking.
