Positive: Check in was quick and seamless. The room seemed clean and bed was alright. Hot breakfast and cocoa bar were added benefits.
Negative: The bathroom was really tiny. Amenities in the room were basic. There was a microwave but no fridge.

Positive: We have always loved the breakfast at this hotel. And the location is perfect.
Negative: My family and I usually stay here when we go to Monterey, this past two times we have had to change rooms because the AC unit wasnโ€™t working. We also found the cockroach in a room this last time we stayed there. Unfortunately I donโ€™t think weโ€™ll be staying here anymore.
Summary: For the price itโ€™s OK however Iโ€™d rather pay a little more and I have to deal with the issues we have had in the past

Positive: Liked the location and on site parking included. A good value for a comfortable room, pool, hot tub and breakfast all included. Would stay here again.
Negative: The room with toilet and shower/tub was a bit small. The fan didnโ€™t work so room got steamy with a shower. Otherwise, no complaints. I like Holiday Inn hotels and have stayed in several.
Summary: Great value for visiting Cannery Row and the Aquarium.

Positive: 1. I got to the hotel early and the staff said I could not check in until the room was ready but the room was ready early. 2. The Dove products in the room are amazing! I only use Dove so thats a plus.
Negative: The curtains, did not fully close and my room was facing the stairs on the 5th floor, so everyone walking up had a glimpse of inside my room.

Positive: breakfast was great for the kids. pool is tiny but nice. really nice maintenance person who encouraged us to switch rooms since the heater didnโ€™t work and for some reason water was all over the carpet by the door upon arrival. new room was fine. small rooms but clean. You can walk next door to In-n-out and chilis for food.
Negative: Check in time is enforced through there were rooms available. The only ice machine is on the fourth floor. pool towels are tiny. hot tub is Very tiny. bushes in front of rooms by the pool totally obscure view. carpets are Very dirty. Zero water pressure- super low flow in shower.
Summary: Great location and room- Good place to sleep if you arenโ€™t going to be in your room much.

Negative: The room was a bit dirty. The carpet felt dirty. There was no bags in trash cans. It was a bit noise.
