THE SPACE: Located on Holloways Beach, just a 15-minute drive from Cairns city and major attractions, this beach house offers the ultimate coastal escape. The open-plan indoor/outdoor layout features a spacious lounge area that opens onto a private garden with a pool and undercover patio, ideal for lounging in front of the Smart TV with complimentary Netflix and local channels. Free WiFi and a selection of board games are also provided.

Main bedroom with ocean views, king bed, and ensuite
Second bedroom with queen-size bed and garden views
Third bedroom with ocean views and two single beds (convertible to a king with notice)

PLEASE NOTE:
There is no fence between the beach and the house, so supervision of small children is required.
The garden and pool are maintained fortnightly, and maintenance may occasionally occur during your stay.
As we are not a hotel, we provide a starter amenities pack. Any additional supplies will need to be purchased during your stay.

Summary: We stayed at the Freeman's house in Cairns during our diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location of the house couldn't be better. Situated right on the beach, we enjoyed stunning views and easy access to the water. The setting was serene and perfect for relaxation. The VRBO itself was spacious and well-equipped, accommodating our group comfortably. The manager was indeed very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had. However, we did encounter a couple of maintenance issues that affected our stay. There was a significant leak in one of the bedrooms, which unfortunately made the room unusable due to a sewage-like odor. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in another room was not functioning properly. While not as critical as the leak, it did affect the comfort level in that particular room, especially during the warmer days. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location and the responsiveness of the manager, the maintenance issues we encountered did detract from our overall experience. Once resolved, this house will undoubtedly be a top-notch choice for anyone visiting Cairns. We hope the management takes these concerns seriously to ensure future guests have an excellent stay.

Summary: We had a great time. The house was large and roomy. Kids loved the pool. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the bathrooms are a little older. Would recommend - comfy, great location and so relaxing.

Summary: This is a quirky, older style house, right on the beach. It has a really lovely aspect and big back deck, opening right out on to the beach (but you can't swim because of stingers/crocs). It's a great family place. The pool is very nice. For over $1,000 a night we were surprised the owner hadn't fixed basic things like stuck windows and doors, and a broken shower hose and leaking shower head (particularly where there had been earlier complaints). Overall, you are paying for location, which is great. Note: there's quite a lot of aircraft noise from about 6am. Communication etc from the agent (Freeman's Residential) was excellent.

Summary: The Property is very dated and the bathrooms are in need of a complete renovation ,they are below simple standard. The dishwasher was broken and there was no dining table and chairs in the house. After dark it was impossible to eat outside because of the mosquitoes. The house was clean and the deck and view towards the ocean is very nice. This accommodation is not worth the money

Summary: Our family absolutely loved staying here. Swimming in the pool looking out at the beach was fantastic. There is a fabulous cafe two doors down that serves the best breakfast. Host Ida is so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.
