Summary: The attention to providing a genuinely hospitable experience was so evident from each person. An unexpected oasis in Virginia. From the start, we got personal attention from Sherry who made sure our room was set up well, even changing the thermostat so my disabled child could have the cooler temps she needs. Every morning, Lynn made sure we had a delicious, hot breakfast (NOT disposable plates & utensils 🙂) with surprising options like chia pudding and breakfast tacos -yum! The kindly guy who helps with maintenance adored my Yorkie-poo, stopping to pet her each time we happened to see each other. Valerie’s sense of humor eased my mind when my daughter was sick on the day of check out; she helped arrange for us to stay in our room a couple more nights. Tabitha is a modestly modern manager, running the place with an approachable style that seems to make the homey atmosphere infectious.

Summary: Very clean and comfortable rooms. Hotel was clean and friendly staff. The breakfast was ok. The breakfast food area was congested with people waiting for waffle iron. Need more waffle irons.

Summary: My husband and I returned to the hotel by 11:00pm, and we circled around the entire hotel parking area until we found the one remaining parking space. (If I was a solo traveler, I wouldn’t want to have to walk a distance through the lot by myself.) The parking is adjacent to another hotel’s parking lot, and that was packed as well. Our stay wasn’t on a busy holiday or special event weekend- it was late February. I mentioned the parking situation to the staff member on duty that evening and he was very nonchalant, as if it happened all the time. Besides the parking, the breakfast area was in a pretty, spacious room with high ceilings and the breakfast had a good variety of options.
