Positive: All fine. Breakfast room may be a little cramped during high season. Public parking nearby --on a meter. May be full in high season !

Negative: Would prefer sheets and all season duvet rather than sheets/ blankets. However, very warm room and bathroom. Very comfortable.

Summary: Fine. Low season booking so not busy.

Positive: Perfect location. Perfect host. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fab (too many pastries for me and not enough savoury, but I’m nitpicking). Free parking is about five minutes walk, and the shop and bistros in the same lane as the hotel are wonderful.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: The hotel is in the middle of the town. It has an appealing street appearance. The room was spotless and very inviting. Roberto, our host, was very friendly and accommodating and helped us by picking us up from the train station( no taxis, buses were nowhere to be seen). He drove us to the train station at the end of our stay. The breakfast room was a little cosy. However, the supplied breakfast was more than adequate. I definitely recommend La Torre hotel to anyone who wants to visit Castiglion del Lago.

Negative: The hill top town is quite a way from the railway station, and public transport seems to be lacking.
