Summary: Room is spacious and clean. Onsen facilities are good and clean. Just need to book the Japanese dinner buffet in advance. Otherwise you have to take fine dining for dinner only.

Summary: Exceptional hotel with stunning views of the lake and Mount Fuji. Perched alone on top of the hill it had a slight Shining feel to it. It has retained its chic 1960s decor. The food is highly priced, but it was a simple shuttle ride down to the town and we had the pleasure of dining at Shoya restaurant which was also a highlight of our trip.

Summary: We loved our room. We reserved the room for for four with two futons and two western beds. The view was amazing from our balcony and the open air bath. We enjoyed everything. The only thing we wished we knew about the free shuttle. The walk up the hill was not fun or probably safe.

Summary: Helped me see Mt. Fuji at sunrise. There was a thick layer of fog forming right above the Yamanakako Lake in the early mornig, which seems to be a common thing in this season. Because this hotel was above the fog it didn't obstruct our view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji at sunrise. It was a very clear and sunny day, and the fog cleared up within a couple of hours after sunrise. If you are aiming for sunrise picture, this hotel really enhaces your chance of catching the precious view.

Summary: Love this hotel, very very good view of Mt Fuji (from balcony, as well as common area next to breakfast place)! the breakfast was AWESOME! Overall vibe is very chill kind + it is on hill top! awesome! didnt get to try onsen, did most of my relaxation in hotel bathtub. Heard that the reviews for natural onsen (indoor and outdoor) are superb here!!!! Will try the onsen the next time round. Location wise right next to the lake, did a easy walk around ◡̈ cheers!
