Summary: My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were going to a show at Spats for my birthday. Neither of us have ever stayed in a Berkeley hotel and my GOODNESS are we so glad we stayed here!!! Considering how walking distance it is to a lot of great spots and how exceptional the staff and room is, the price is insanely reasonable. I was helped at the front desk by Quee (I think I spelled he name correctly, girl if you see this I miss you lol!!) and she was a DELIGHT. She helped me check in super easy and honestly I think its the most fun I've had just checking in haha. The room itself was very clean and very cozy, and the room service we ordered from the in-hotel restaurant was absolutely lovely. We ubered to Spats but ended up walking back around 1 AM and the area around the hotel seemed pretty safe to us. There was still plenty of night life happening and it felt very secure our whole walk back. The nighttime staff that was there when we came back was also very friendly and asked us about our night out which was nice! In the morning the front desk helped us out with getting checked out and our call pulled out of valet so when we left our room for the day it was just a straight walk to the car to load it and leave. I highly recommend this hotel of you're doing something in the area, you won't regret it!!

Summary: This is the hotel that I had wanted to stay at for a very long time when I was a young person growing up in Berkeley. It met and exceeded my expectations! The restaurant is absolutely amazing I would go there even if I wasn't staying at the property.

Summary: The hotel is older. The rooms were a bit small and the bathroom/shower really small. The staff was amazing though and very helpful. Our AC was not working properly. I thought it was just because the hotel was older. It slowly got worse. By the time the room was like a sauna I said something and the staff was on it. They brought a portable AC window unit to the room immediately. The also offered to let us move rooms. The hotel is in a great location. Right close to BART and a little campus Target.

Summary: The hotel staff was outstanding...always pleasant and helpful. In particular, Tamar checked us in at a very late hour (after 10 pm). We asked if we could have a microwave in the room and she said that one would be provided by housekeeping in the morning. However, she also asked if we needed one sooner. We replied that we would like one before the morning. She agreed that it was possible and she ended up bringing the microwave to our room herself. That was incredible to us! We were grateful and amazed.

Summary: Great place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was great, live music there some nights as well. Nice bar area. Close to shopping/Berkeley / restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.
