Summary: Property fantastic and situated a few minutes from cathedral. Unfortunately, hotel rooms do not have any air conditioning and the ancient and noisy click, click from the swing function of the fan really didn’t provide much relief. We did have to request the fan from the reception as they are not generally provided and had to be dug out from a cupboard in reception. This incidentally occurred on one of the hottest days of the year (perhaps ever!!) which meant we had a very uncomfortable night.

Summary: This is a peaceful, wonderful place to stay. While experiencing one of the greatest buildings on Earth, this hotel can only add to and keep in you in tune with the experience. It’s not luxury but it was perfect for my purposes.

Summary: The property is located just behind or next to the cathedral with a parking lot which I didn’t need but was convenient for those who did. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are simple, spotless and cozy. Breakfast is buffet with simple, nutritious and fresh offerings. The coffee? Terrific!

Summary: Old world charm just footsteps away from the cathedral. The breakfast was worth purchase. The room had everything we needed with a beautiful view of the village below. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: It was impossible to drive to the hotel without special instructions, which we received only after having parked some distance away and walking with our luggage to check in. After I received the special instructions and retrieved my car from the public parking lot it took a long time to get to the hotel since road construction and detours blocked the route recommended by Google maps, which I was using to navigate. The desk clerk was away from the desk for 30 minutes or more in the morning when I was waiting to pay for breakfast and check out.

Summary: Obviously pretty basic, but super clean, safe and incredible location. Really excellent value for money. Would stay again without hesitation.

Summary: This hotel is in an old priory near the summit of the hill with the magnificent Chartres Cathedral. Desk was helpful with parking info, and how to exit the restricted area before dawn, so we didn't have to tackle the steep hill after the snow started.
