Summary: We have recently stayed at this rental and had a really fantastic week. Hervè and Elisabeth were perfect hosts and very helpful throughout our stay. We bumped into Hervè in town one day and he kindly went out of his way to take us to a lovely bakery. The beaches are great and all within walking distance. The ckisest (minutes away) is great for rock pools and the slightly further away ones (15 minutes or so walks) are sandy and brilliant for swimming. There is a canoeing place just 15mins drive away which was a laugh and worth squeezing in early before the heat sets in. Also the small ferry over to the larger beach at Les Sables is well worth a visit. The house itself is perfectly suited to beachy days and has sun almost all day if you find yourself at home in between, there is even a shower in the garage to rinse off. The house is quite and we had a really lovely stay. Thank you Hervè and Elisabeth.

Summary: We (a family of 5 from Scotland) had a lovely stay here. The house is great – very spacious and well equipped. We ate all of our meals outside under the retractable awning. It seems unusual to have a shower in the garage but this actually works really well when returning all sandy from the beach. We all enjoyed the table tennis table and the large garden provided plenty of space for the kids. The owners, Hervé and Elisabeth, deserve special mention for being very welcoming, friendly and keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They really went out of their way to help us when our daughter was suffering with an ear infection and we had to navigate the French health system. We were very grateful! In terms of location, the house is in the quieter area of La Chaume, with easy access (10 mins in car or get the small foot passenger boat across) to the main resort of Les Sables d’Olonne. The main resort beach does get very crowded (especially when the tide is in) but there are other nearby beaches to explore and a sea water open air pool with a man-made beach.

Summary: We have had a fantastic holiday with our family with 3 young children. Super nice hosts, spacious clean house with a beautiful garden in a great setting. Very close to the beach, quiet neighborhood, really a must for a young family.
