Negative: Well we have stayed at the hotel numerous times but this is the first time we have had a somewhat bad experience when we first walked into the room it was a dirty rag on the counter. Then when my husband and I was eating he seen a roach coming down the wall which he killed. Cleaners need to pay more attention to detail

Positive: The hotel was in a decent location that felt safe. The pool area was clean and well tended to. The breakfast bar was kept up as well as the snack area. Management staff did oblige to requests made.
Negative: Our hotel room still had hair in the drawers and the room smelled like smoke, despite us getting a heavy talk (will discuss in detail later) about not smoking in the room. The overall behaviors and attitudes of the staff was strange. Upon check-in there was a lengthy discussion about inviting guests, when they should leave, and throwing parties. It was very confusing and unnecessary in length. I had to say three times it was just my boyfriend and myself and no one else would be entering our room. I almost felt like I was being lectured by a parent. Requests were filled with suspicion. In example, room service did not change our toilet paper upon returning to our room so we had none. I asked for two rolls instead of one since I knew I would be there for a little. The manager at the front desk behaved strangely and insisted on only giving me one. (I assume under the impression I was trying to steal the extras). When asking simple questions like where the microwave was, I was handled in a strangely defensive way. All behavior was defensive as if I was expected to be a problem. I told my boyfriend I didn't want to be the person that assumes profiling, despite every interaction being very off-putting. I understand customer service and perhaps they were just used to poor guest treatment. He agreed until we went to the front desk before an outing and I was dressed up. Front desk management (ironically, the only polite one out of the three) asked if we were going to a basketball game. Bewildered, I actually started researching on my phone what possible games he could be referring to. No one was explicitly and directly rude. Just understand there is a "polite, HOA" type of profiling you will be dealing with if you stay here. Also, expect there to be some small errors and be gentle with the cleaning staff. It is a very small and very overworked crew.
