2000 square foot private Kentucky Lake front home. Beautiful views
of Jonathan Creek bay from every room. Great kitchen with granite countertops. Twenty by thirty-five foot great
room with floor to ceiling windows facing the lake and wood burning
fireplace for chilly nights. Deck and screened porch facing lake. Satellite internet. Sits on approximately 3 1/2 acres plus TVA land. Great for families, duck hunters, fishermen, etc. Long term rentals welcome as well.
The house sits directly facing the lake at the end of a long driveway. We have a lot of wildlife including deer that are there all year, pelicans that are there off and on from September through May, and bald eagles that begin appearing in October to repair their nest in the pine tree by the driveway in the front yard. The eagles begin nesting in January and both of them plus the eaglets are often seen from Late February until mid May. The nest is easiest to see from the landing of the stairs leading to the dock. If you look back from there over the top of the house, you can see the nest in the top of the pine tree. We also have the usual assortment of birds plus a family of pileated woodpeckers. If birdwatching is not your thing, fishing is available from the dock from April through September. You can also just relax with a good book or hike in the woods.

Summary: Our family of four (in addition to our dog) stayed at this charming home from Oct. 15-21. The home had such an inviting feel and the beauty of the changing fall leaves against the lake was beautiful. Our family travels frequently and we have been to many places. This house was definitely one of the top places that we have stayed in and we plan to return!

Summary: Everything was just as described. The house is comfortable and has plenty of room to spread out. The beds are very comfortable. A word of caution if you're coming with a dog - be mindful in early morning. My dog is extremely reliable under voice command which is a good thing. One morning we went out to a herd of 10 to12 deer in the pasture next door and another morning a large coyote popped out from behind the pine trees next to the driveway. I quickly called my dog to me so it was not an issue, but it could have been. I also have a suggestion for a very minor issue - there is no place to keep a glass of water or a book next to the beds. I pulled a chair over but it might be nice to add a couple of small bedside tables if possible. All in all we had a great time and will definitely come back to this home again.

Summary: We enjoyed staying in this charming home. As is described, it is right on the lake, which is a huge plus, especially if you rent a boat for a few days. The home is well appointed with very comfortable beds, quality bedding, a well appointed kitchen, a wonderful outdoor dining area, and a terrific living area. The home needs a little TLC; however, after a. busy summer season, that is to be expected. Owners are terrific, quick to reply, and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

Summary: This was just a jewel of a vacation spot. The beds were awesome. Close to the lake and with dock it was a great lace for our boat and to sit in the sun!

Summary: Beautiful home and property that our family thoroughly enjoyed! We spent most of our time on the dock, swimming, fishing and just hanging out! We rented a pontoon and a tube from Kenlake Marina and I highly recommend it. Great Family vacation

Summary: The house was great. Very well setup, clean, and organized. They are building a house next door so we did have some heavy equipment running which was a little irritating but we managed. If I had any suggestion would be a fish cleaning table on the dock or close to water. The place has anything you need, close to town, and restaurants if you need them. Deer and wildlife every day we were there. Overall great place.

Summary: I’d Rather Be Fishing is a spacious house with open living, tall ceilings and large windows to see the beautiful nature scene all around. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and utensils. Three bedrooms all with king beds is great. Each bedroom has it own bath or half bath. The layout of the living/kitchen/dining is open and conducive to large group mingling. Large windows along the lake allow for nature viewing. Tall 10+ feet ceilings create an open feel. Washer dryer were right off of the kitchen which was convenient. Only downside really was having to wait for towels to wash and dry on morning of our departure and taking trash to local dumpster. Trash really wasn’t a huge issue as dumpster was easy to find.

Summary: We always enjoy our time at this vacation rental. It has such a beautiful view and the home is provisioned well with all your needs. We appreciate Melinda’s promptness in responding to our questions and requests. An excellent space for a family and/or friends. Nicely situated where you are about 20-30 minutes from great Kentucky Lake attractions like Patti’s and Maggie’s Jungle Golf. It’s so nice to be right on Jonathan Creek and enjoy the sunrise/sunsets on the private dock. We hope to be back soon!
