Summary: We had everything that we needed for a lovely week in the Loire Valley. Michele and Philippe made us very welcome (despite our lack of French) and even made room for us to put our electric bikes in their garage. The surrounding countryside is full of enormous vineyards, as the name "Les Treilles" suggests, and the property is just a few miles from both the Chateau de Breze in one direction and the Abbaye de Fontevraud in the other. There are lots of other fascinating places to visit in the area by car. In the exceptional and extreme heat of the week we were there (up to 38 degrees C), we found that while the upper floor became too hot during the day, at least the lower floor remained reasonably cool. We would happily stay there again!

Summary: What an amazing house this is - beautiful inside and out, tastefully furnished, comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. All in an idyllic location, surrounded by vineyards where the only sound you hear is birdsong. It's a wonderful area for cycling with beautiful rides from the doorstep. Michèle and Philippe made us so welcome and it was lovely to spend time chatting with them. They gave us excellent tips on what to see and do in the area - and there is so much! We certainly hope to return.

Summary: Michele and Phillipe are a wonderful couple. Their beautiful gite and surrounding property was gorgeous. I highly recommend staying here in the Loire Valley. Summary: Could not have been better Michele and Philip were wonderful and very gracious. Just wish our French was better as we enjoyed meeting and talking with them. Fantastic setting that is serene and peaceful.

Summary: We stayed here for ten nights and enjoyed every minute. The owners made sure that we had everything that we needed, including the heating, on some evenings. On arrival, Michelle and Phillippe greeted us and showed us around the property. The gîte was very spacious and well equipped. The patio with table and chairs was quite secluded and it turned out to be real sun trap. We were able to sit outside and read or take meals there on some days even in April. We would recommend a stay in this property and would love to return ourselves sometime. The area has a lot to offer, chateaux, vineyards and interesting towns and villages. We were out sight seeing a lot and it was an attractive and tranquil place to return to each afternoon. Mostly we ate out at lunch time and catered in the gîte in the evenings as it was a few miles to restaurants, bars etc. It was early in the season and we didn't mind at all.
