Summary: If you want Bay view, only works on the 2nd floor. First floor bay view is somewhat bad unless you sit outside or keep the door open.On first floor, shutters over the window do not keep out any of the light, including the parking lot light which is very.bright.

Summary: Staff was awesome! Friendly helpful sent us to 2 great restaurants, room was clean, beds were very comfortable and room quiet. We would stay again. One night traveling stay over, easy check in and water view .

Summary: Although apparently, in the past, this place has received poor ratings, they have recently renovated, and it is very good. The front desk staff and the other staff were very friendly.

Summary: Staff: Friendly and fast check in. Room: Hotel is pretty dated. The AC is strong but pointed directly at the side of the bed so whoever sleeps on that side might feel freezing while the other side of the bed feels comfortably cool. I put a pillow up to block the air since I was the one on that side. Bathroom: Sink was small and only big enough for one person to put toiletries on. The shower was missing the soap tray (the wall anchors were there so it must have fallen off at some point recently). There was a hole were a towel bar was previously, guess they hadn't patched up the screw and wall anchor hole yet. The water is hot and has good pressure. Amenties: Free parking. Well off the main road so it will be quiet. Right next to the water. Island View isn't bad for the price. "A 2 star hotel around the corner to Acadia national park and a 15-20 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor" is accurate.

Summary: It was good. I probably overplayed for what I got but it’s the high season in a vacation destination. The room was good. Comfortable beds, good a/c, nice tv, WiFi worked great, and a good location. Ok, 2 things got me. No daily maid service? I know this was a Covid thing - didn’t realize some properties are still not servicing room daily. We were the 3 nights, trash cans were overflowed, ran short on supplies like TP and soaps,etc. We were on the second floor, the northern steps should be immediately torn down.They are certainly not up to code and are separating from the exterior of the building. Railings are there but inadequate. I don’t know about the other set of steps and there is no elevator. I would recommend a first level accommodation. Overall good, but….

Summary: Loved location with bay view. Good value for access to park, with close access to coffee shop, grocery store and restaurants. Enjoyed upgrade to Bay side offered by pleasant manager.

Summary: This is a clean and basic motel at a good price, with amazing views of Mount Desert Island across the bay. The location is very convenient and very close to the bridges that take you to the island. I think you can pick up a free shuttle bus to Acadia from a spot near the motel. The drive to Bar Harbor takes about 20 minutes. The island is definitely bigger than I realized!
