2 Bedroom Cottage in Trenton

Oceanfront cottage with 200 feet of private pebble beach and beautiful view of Western Bay and mountains of Acadia National Park. Situated on 3/4 acre, this cottage is conveniently located in a quiet, wooded setting yet only 10 miles to Acadia National Park and 12 miles to Bar Harbor. Cottage has 2 bedrooms, living room, bath room, open kitchen with all new appliances, and spacious dining area with direct view of the ocean. Enjoy watching the sunrise over the mountains or the beauty of the moonlight on the water. Please be aware that this is a brand new cottage built in 2023-2024 to replace the old cabin we had on this property and to which the reviews refer. We tried to rebuild in the style of the old cabin because we loved it so much, but it was getting difficult to maintain after so many years. The new house has an even better view of the water than the old cabin because it is sited differently. It is fully insulated to Maine building code and has electric heat throughout.

Activities: Swim, kayak, walk, bike, or just sit and read a book on the deck or private beach.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the Banach cottage from May 31-June 7, 2025 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! Everything was clean and comfortable and as described online. We especially enjoyed being on the water and watching the eagles, gulls, loons, and seals directly out from the front deck. Luckily for us, the weather was nearly perfect with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. We had one minor issue that was out of anyone's control, but the owners went above and beyond to address this very quickly.During the stay, we saw both the sunrise and sunset on Cadillac Mtn, ate at Jordan Pond, stopped at nearly all of the points of interest in Acadia, hiked Raven's Nest and the Schoodic Peninsula, went whale watching, and even took a day-trip to Lubec, Campobello, and St. Andrews, NB. Not to mention all of the shopping and lobster rolls in and around Bar Harbor! Needless to say, it was wonderful to have such a great (and quiet) place to come back to every evening after such long days :).We would 100% stay here again should our travels bring us back to Downeast Maine. Thank you to the Banach's for building and maintaining such a perfect cottage in a perfect location. It helped create many memories for both of us!

Summary: We had a wonderful time on the Bay! After time hiking and exploring Acadia and nearby sights it was great to settling into this quiet spot and watch the tides and see the wildlife. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed to cook good meals. When an unexpected noreaster came through late in the season the owner helped us to prep incase of a power outage. We gratefully did not have that occur, but it was comforting to be prepared. Great clean and well appointed space and we want to come back sometime.

Summary: We were very happy with our stay at the Oceanfront cottage. It is a newer house with fabulous views of the mountains and on the water with steps down to a rocky sandy beach. It had everything we needed to prepare meals and was so comfortable and quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I would stay here again if we are in the area.

Summary: This one- level cabin meet all of our needs as we explored Arcadia National Park. The space was well stocked and the owners are responsive - couldn't ask for more! It was rainy most of our stay and the cabin was cozy but the view of the water was breath-taking!
