Positive: the island was spotless, our host very welcoming, very quiet far away from the boat buzz, there was no other island we could see, we really felt immersed. Our host was busy making ropes, we joined them and they showed us how to make some. the dinner and breakfast were beyond our expectations. it was cold but we got offered tea and a warmwater bottle to keep us warm. it is a place not to miss.

Positive: Our stay on the island was a truly unforgettable experience. The very gracious host and her family, who truly live and work on the island, provided us with attentive, discreet care, without being overbearing, without pomp, noise, or clutter. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature. The hostess served wonderful meals.

Positive: Enrique and Angelica were so lovely and attentive. We were met just outside of Puno and driven over to Islas Chimu by Enrique on his boat. We sat on a lovely little porch, on handcrafted deck chairs, overlooking the lake and Enrique told us all about the local area, the wildlife and Lake Titicaca. We were served a delicious dinner of chicken, quinoa, vegetables and chips in a very cute dinning cabin. Enrique had so much time for us and we felt so welcome on their little island. They've obviously been working very hard to build more accommodation and add lots of lovely decor to the island. I think ours was the only room available at the time of our visit but there are now multiple options of places to stay. We would highly recommend visiting Enrique and Angelica on their beautiful little floating island.
