Positive: Jaydee’s is a true Fijian homestay experience – you’re staying with a local family in their home - the facilities are simple but clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. What makes it truly special is the family, who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The warmth and hospitality of the family was the highlight. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, especially the grandmother, who radiates love and generosity. Staying here feels like being part of the family, and it’s a privilege to share in their home and culture. Breakfast was tasty, served with warmth and generosity – the perfect start to the day. And we had the yummiest dinner, made with love and care by the grandmother of the house. It was our favourite dinner of our trip! The location is great for exploring Taveuni. It’s peaceful and feels authentically local, while still being convenient for getting around the island. Just remember, you're at the top of the Island so if you're looking to get around lots, consider hiring a car. We used the local bus service and it was great, but it's not the most regular of service. (enjoy Fiji time!!) Mostly, we had a blast getting around walking which built up an appetite :) Reach out and ask the family when you book if you need help getting around, they're more than happy to help sort out local transportation. Honestly, the only thing we wish is that we had found Jaydee’s earlier and stayed longer! It was the most wonderful stay and the most amazing memories. We can not recommend it enough!! Sota tale Mila and family – vinaka vaka levu for such a special stay! 🌺💙🌺
Negative: There’s nothing we didn’t like, it was a truly wonderful stay – just be mindful that it’s a homestay, not a resort, so if you’re expecting luxury service and an ensuite bathroom, this isn’t the place for you!

Positive: Wonderful hospitality from Biu, Mila and the all family. The sharing of daily life, the moments spent in the kitchen with the cooks and Grandpa’s nightly songs with his grand children..Incredible food and discovery of true Fijian gastronomy. As far as outdoor and water activities were concerned, we were unlucky, due to cyclone « Rae »but the reefs seemed fantastic!
