Positive: The location is wonderful. The homestay is in a beautiful little village in between the major attractions such as the Lavena Coastal Walk and the Waitavala Water Slide. The villagers are warm and friendly. The host family is exceptionally kind and professional. They treat you as if you're a guest at a five star resort. One of my favorite things about my stay was the food! They prepare the best homemade dishes!

Positive: This family is so very special. Best food on the island and I have celiac disease. Catered to every need.
Negative: The beds need upgrading. Get ready for roosters and lots of barking dogs. But excellent otherwise. Bug nets provided. Power on from 6:15pm - 10pm

Positive: Lovely family. Very helpful in organising trips. Musical entertainment in the evenings. Nita on the piano and vocals, Jale on guitar and vocals and Jima on vocals. Fantastic! Sia provided amazing food in generous portions. A different meal every time and provided packed lunches when out on trips. Her experience in 5 star resort management shone through. She is a jem! The location was good. Close to airport, diving companies and Bouma National park. The family are developing this homestay and have big plans to extend. We wish them well for the future.
Negative: If you want a total Fijian immersion experience then this homestay is for you. The family are developing this homestay business. At present the facilities are not what some tourists might expect. They are basic with one toilet, and one shower for family and guests to share. There is facility for 6 guests plus the extended family. Privacy was limited. Our room was comfortable although the pillows need replacing and the bed linen a little tired.
