Positive: The location of the accommodation is great. Although we had a car, my husband and I reached everything by foot. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again!

Positive: Everything. It is a beautiful hotel that sits high above the city and has spectacular views. The receptionist and restaurant staff were superb.

Positive: Breakfast was excellent. Location - well worth the difficulty to access. Without a car you need to pay to go up in a lift from the museum of modern art and then walk approx 10 mins. The lift costs approx 3 euros to go up or 4-5 euros return or you can pay 13 euros for the week of limitless times use - which i did even though I was only there 3 days as it meant I could go up and down several times in the day ie going back up for a freshen up after a days sightseeing and then going out back again in the evening . It is actually well signposted once you get out at the top of the lift but first time round it takes a bit to work it out but once you have done it once it was no problem. In good weather and with reasonable levels of fitness the trek is not an issue and in fact is extremely pleasurable / bit of an adventure. Views were wonderful. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful -especially the lady on reception desk. Nothing was any trouble.
Negative: Not really walkable late at night once the lift at the museum of modern art has stopped eg 9pm on Sunday the lift stops so had to get an Uber back to the hotel then.

Positive: Great location, very safe and ample parking. Stayed on an upper floor, but it was easily accessed via elevator and a short flight of steps. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Positive: The people in tge hotel were lovely and they very kindly gave me an upgrade, so I had a super double aspect view and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Negative: The rooms are furnished in a very anodyne way - no real character. Just be prepared for its location - at the top of the hill, with the majority of Salzburg's attractions in the valley. Were I to stay in Salzburg again - I would stay down by the river with easier acces to Salzburg.
Summary: Its a steep walk up and down to everywhere - although very comfortable
