Positive: Decent location and very helpful staff. Was value for money depending on which room you got.

Negative: Stairs to upper floor were very steep with no hand rails bit of a struggle with luggage. Not a great choice for breakfast.

Positive: Karagül is in the heart of the old city. Down an enchanting laneway. The rooms were comfortable.

Negative: There were a few language difficulties but my bad for not speaking Turkish

Positive: Staying in this historic building in the heart of the old town is an experience in itself. Very atmospheric - rich with character and charm. The family and staff are incredibly friendly, cheerful, and genuinely helpful—they even went out of their way to resolve a luggage issue with the airline. The room was beautiful and stylish, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely. The location couldn’t be better—right in the old town market, close to Abraham’s Pond and vibrant local bazaars. Simply wandering through the surrounding streets is a journey into a fascinating culture.

Summary: Atmospheric stay, wonderful staff, all you could want - highly recommended.

Negative: Avoid the narrow road and find parking on the main street (staff helped with parking). The ventilation in the bathrooms was poor.
