Positive: Great location right near a tube station. Shops, cafes and amenities right on the doorstep. Big apartment that was perfect for a family. Compared to other properties in Rome, this apartment was very fairly priced and, as we were there five nights, it made seeing Rome affordable. The owner was quick to respond to my questions. We would most definitely stay again and would be happy to recommend it to friends and family. We would just make some of the listing details clearer.
Negative: We liked the apartment, and we would definitely stay again, but there were a few challenges that we could have prepared for if the property description had been slightly more accurate. The listing stated wifi when I booked, but there was no longer wifi available (and Booking.com nor the owner had not notified us of this change). We were offered a temporary router for a €100 deposit and a €10 a day charge. Therefore, wifi is available but at an additional cost (given the price of the apartment, this is far but adding it to the listing would be a good idea). The listing mentions an oven. There isn’t one. There is a very basic kitchen with a microwave and a one ring hob that is very small and not practical for cooking for a family. Again, would we stay again? Definitely, yes, but I would recommend removing the word oven from the listing and make it clear that the hob is one small portable hob. Cooking in the apartment is not really viable. The location is so great that, at the right price, which it was, by accurately describing the cooking facilities, people can then be better prepared for how to manage food. Other reviews have mentioned the lack of crockery and cutlery but we were provided with plastic disposable plates, cups, knives and forks - that was fine. Check out time is 10am. We were prepared to leave in time and definitely wouldn’t have abused this, but guests should be prepared for the cleaner arriving at 9.45am to enter and immediately start cleaning at that time. Again, this was not a problem but it just felt a little awkward because we are not used to this process. This could also be added to the check out information. Please know that this feedback is purely for clarity purposes and to offer some friendly advice around the wording on Booking.com. Our stay was fantastic and we cannot wait to return. The apartment is great value for money for Rome, and it was the biggest we stayed in during our trip.
