Summary: Manager was great with changing room when there was problems with key. But new room was next to outside beer tables area which was noisy. Had early start so ideally needed a room in quieter room. Room itself looked tired, with wallpaper peeling off wall. But bedroom was ok and bed was comfortable.

Summary: We booked one night stay at The Kings Arms Hotel, the staff were friendly and we checked in smoothly. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was good. The room however needs a lot of improvement, the windows would not stay open at all, we realised they had a restriction due to safety but they would not open even a little and the room was hot, when asked about this we were told to prop it open with something which we did, we used a plastic glass from the bathroom which we told the member of staff we had done. The carpet in the room had a hole in it. The bath panel was in a dreadful state ( see photo) the basin taps had parts missing. The bed side lamp flickered when first put on and the socket was loose. The shower was powerful. The staff were friendly throughout our staff and the food was good.

Summary: Good food, good staff, clean, rooms at the front suffer from traffic noise a bit, if you are used to traffic noise it won’t bother you as the windows have secondary double glazing, I know some who live on roads will not worry at all about it at all. Generally a little tired in appearance but look beyond that for a good value, decent hotel with good amenities. Breakfast was good and “steak Thursday” represents excellent value!

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, hotel staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Comfy bed, although only a double, but still sleept well. Breakfast self service had a good selection of cereals etc and the full English was a good choice, without a doubt, served with tasty meaty sausages, good value too.
