Kittyhawk is a unique property in Antigua, sitting on Ordnance Bay with stunning views across Nelsonโ€™s Dockyard, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, yet only a 5 minute walk from the bars and restaurants of English Harbour. Pigeon Beach is a 5 minute drive, or a 15 minute walk, and Galleon Beach is a 10 minute drive or 15 minute kayak!
Itโ€™s one of the few properties in English Harbour with its own jetty giving direct access to the water, with Galleon Beach only 15 minutes away using the house paddleboards and kayaks.
The property is built for outdoor living with a large gas BBQ, covered bar and dining area. Kittyhawk has 3 double bedrooms in the main house. All bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans and white, high quality cotton bedlinen.
Two of these bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, with the third having sole, easy access to the house bathroom opposite.
There is a separate pretty, one bedroom cottage with a king size bed, dressing area, en suite shower room and lounge with kitchenette. Perfect for someone in the party who would prefer a little independence.
There is a fifth bedroom on the ground floor of the house with two small double beds and en suite bathroom and dressing area. Ideal for teenagers or crew.
Moving from the open plan reception area to the pale wooden decking the outdoor living areas are designed to take full advantage of the stunning views. Throughout the house you will find a selection of art from local artists, depicting beautiful scenes and images from around the island. Enjoy a dip in the private pool, soak up the sun on the sun loungers or have a cocktail in the shaded bar area while watching the sun set and the boats dropping anchor.
Explore a range of cuisine whilst in English Harbour, many of which can be reached in just a few minutes on foot from Kittyhawk or by water taxi from the Dockyard. Catherineโ€™s Cafe famous for its music and great food on a Saturday lunchtime, Colibri offering refined dining in a Caribbean garden setting, Trappas serving curries and local delicacies, all of which are on our doorstep.
Should you exhaust the list locally then the island offers a plentiful supply of restaurants in beautiful locations including Sheer Rocks on the West Coast, The Hut off Jumby Bay and even Nobu on Barbuda!
There is plenty to keep you busy locally, horse riding in the sea, sailing lessons, snorkelling at Galleon Beach, fishing and hiking. We can happily help recommend activities for you. Energie gym, just a short walk from the house, will suit the gym bunnies in your party, offering daily and weekly passes.
Our local house manager and her team can help you with any aspect of your stay, from arranging airport transfers, to meeting you on arrival at the house, to being on hand should any issues arise during your stay.
The house can also be also be rented at a lower price as a 3 bedroom unit. Please enquire if this suits your needs as we may be able to help.
The deck has plenty of loungers with a covered dining and sofa area. Dinners tend to be eaten outside on the terrace where the dining table is covered with ceiling fans overhead. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with a double BBQ under a sail awning. The large deck area wraps around the house offering amazing views of Nelsonโ€™s Dockyard and towards Shirley Heights. The kitchen is well stocked along with a large fridge freezer, range cooker, microwave and wine fridge. We are more than happy to suggest caters should you wish to have a night off or entertain. We have a guest book with plenty of suggestions for dinner, activities to enjoy and places to visit on the island.

Summary: A group of 10 of us stayed here for Antigua sailing week. It was absolutely perfect! Communication - 10 out of 10 ; location 10 out of 10 ; size cleanliness facilities all brilliant. Views and the over English Harbour - particularly enjoyed being in the pool and watching pelicans dive for fish! 10 mins to either Eng harbour to Falmouth . Sure many of the group will be back! Summary: We were a group of 10 and had an amazing stay at Kitty Hawk, Donna and the team couldnโ€™t have done more for us. We had boyfriends doing the Atlantic Row and they were so helpful with the area and got them a lovely card and bottle of bubbly to celebrate. The villa was incredible and we would definitely stay again!

Summary: The location of the property was amazing, allowing us to walk to the shops, great bars, restaurants(Trappas, Place on the Corner, Club House, Flatties, Boom) the marina as well as having a kayak adventure with a 9 year old to get a pineapple juice at Nelsons Dockyard - never mind the view! Pigeon beach was a real find on foot too! We did hire a car which meant we could explore the island more, do big shops for 10 of us and have some great day trips to entertain the generations - the inflatables at Darkwood Bay, Trainer shopping in St Johnโ€™s, hiring a boat, horse riding and jet skiing in the sea etc Anna the property manager was like magic! We had any queries and she would sort it immediately. Izzy has been amazing throughout the whole renting process - especially as we had to move the holiday on a year due to Covid. The cleaners were very patient with us too. The property itself is comfortable but a little tired in places and Iโ€™m sure now the pandemic is settling maintenance will be resumed. It gave us a great amount of space. We knew the cottage was separate (great for 2 nearly 17 year old boys!) however the downstairs bedroom is also very separate (lockable) not accessed from within the main house and it took some getting used too for the parents and the 13 year old girls. The shape of the pool allowed the mums to sit on the step for โ€œbook clubโ€ whilst the children played at the other side of the โ€œLโ€. With 6 children in and out of the pool and sea we did get through a lot of towels but there are plenty of those in the utility room and the biggest washing machine we have ever seen! The electricity allowance was fine as well - especially as the much needed AC was on in all 5 bedrooms every night and with 4 teenagers and their devices! The BBQ was used regularly but as a group of 6 we tended to eat at the front around the big table - unfortunately there was was a resident bird nesting in the eaves by the table so the patio needed regular cleaning! The island, the people, the sea, the sun, the villa and itโ€™s location all made for a super holiday - one the families will never forget. Thank you

Summary: Kittyhawk is a fantastic villa, exceptionally well equipped, extremely spacious and homely. The location is perfect for walking to the local shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. The owners couldnโ€™t be more accommodating and the lady who manages the villa out there is extremely efficient. Would fully recommend without hesitation. All 9 of us had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Summary: We were very impressed with the location and property. The pool was excellent. All bedrooms had their own bath. All appliances were clean and in good working order. The only negative would be the overage charge for electricity - 100 kWh per day for 9 adults is pretty restrictive, but we managed with very little overage.

Summary: The Kittyhawk House is the perfect group vacation pick for Antigua. There were 9 of us at the house and it didnโ€™t feel at all crowded. The location, private pool and management staff were outstanding! The house is fully stocked with everything we needed for our large group. Everyone wants to come back. We highly recommend the Kittyhawk House.
