Stunning! Relaxing! Can't wait to return! See why our guests keep coming back to our AirBnb! Completely remodeled 3 bd/2 ba house near CSULB, 10 min to the beach & vibrant 2nd St-Belmont Shore + near all freeways. Open, bright, stocked w/everything you could need, ACs, 2 fireplaces, plus a fenced tree-lined backyard w/large patio + a fire pit & BBQ to enjoy. Garage game room! Enjoy a quiet family neighborhood, easy parking & coastal breezes. We strive to make you feel at home!
The Space:
Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house, with two living room areas, an open kitchen, and all the kitchen items you could ever need, two gas fireplaces, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. High quality comfort with a fun coastal style. TVs and A/C's/Heaters in every room, games, a great patio, and a backyard with high fences to relax in. Everything you would need for your guests or your family to relax & have a great time! Very quiet & friendly family neighborhood.
Guest Access:
You will have your own unique access with the door code, along with a key for the back door, plus a private driveway to park in, which will fit at least 2 cars. You will have access to the garage for using the washer & dryer, and all of the sports equipment. Plus, we added a foosball/air hockey table!
The Neighborhood:
A quiet family neighborhood that is close to everything! You will see kids playing outside and neighbors walking their dogs. Very relaxed with coastal breezes. You can easily walk to El Dorado Park - Summer Concerts, play area, skateboard area, tennis area, golf, and nature center. A shopping center with grocery stores, a pharmacy & restaurants is right around the corner, including Starbucks!
Getting Around:
There is a driveway to park your vehicles. But Uber and Lyft are readily available. The municipal bus lines are 2 blocks away.
Other Things to Note:
There are two full size washers & dryers are in the garage, a fire pit in the backyard with outdoor strung lights, plus lots of beach gear, chairs, wagon, tennis rackets, foosball table, plus so much more!
Walk a block to El Dorado Park - Summer Concerts in the Park on Friday nights or the tennis courts, skateboard park, kids play area, baseball and soccer fields. You may be lucky enough to enjoy the clucking hens in the yard behind us!

Summary: This property was exactly what we needed for our stay. I was traveling with family (3 adults, 3 kids) and it had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the games in the garage, as well as scooters and the basketball hoop. The second living room provided a great space for them to spread out and watch movies at night. Kitchen was well stocked for random needs like an electric kettle, toaster that could handle bagels etc.The location was also perfect for us. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, and it was easy to park. It was convenient to both the Long Beach and LAX airports. There were restaurants and a grocery store within a very short walk. We walked to a specialty donut shop that coincidentally has Pokeman themed donuts that week. The kids were delighted. Susan and Ted were very responsive and accommodating as well. We felt very welcomed!

Summary: The house was nice with lots of space. It is well furnished, clean and is well stocked with almost everything you need. The hosts are super responsive and very friendly. The kids had lot of fun with the foosball table and air hockey in the garage. We will definitely come back.

Summary: Property as described and in a good central location for Southern California and Disneyland. House has a nice beach theme throughout and has comfortable beds. Note that the shared driveway is a little tight for large SUVs. We would let passengers out first and pull up as far as we could in the driveway so the neighbor with the shared driveway could also get their vehicle out of the driveway. The street parking is difficult during the weekdays since there is a nearby school where the students park down this street and throughout the neighborhood. Note that the garage on property houses washing machines and dryers and is not accessible for parking. You cannot pull a vehicle further back near the garage, which was our original plan when we arrived. We stayed in December and noted that some of the split zone HVAC units can only cool and not heat. There are two gas fireplaces on property that can give supplemental heat, but you need to manually light these with a lighter (on site) after turning on the gas valve. Communication was great with the homeowners Susan and Ted and they ensured that we had a good stay at their property.

Summary: This place was perfect! We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family here (pre-approved by owners) and loved it! There were plenty of pots, pans, cooking bowls & utensils to do the cooking. Also, plenty of cups, plates, and silverware to accommodate everyone! The older ones enjoyed a movie in the front room and the kids enjoyed playing in the larger family room. This place came with everything you would need to have an enjoyable stay! Also, the backyard with a grill allowed for us to make delicious steaks for our family another night. Then the fire pit allowed us to make s’mores which my nieces and nephews loved! Everything was amazing & I am definitely going to book here again when I visit my family in LA.

Summary: Home was clean, cozy, and cute. It really felt like a family home. Neighborhood was quiet and the location great for us. Backyard was really private given it is in a city. Nice to have air hockey and foosball tables in the garage for our son. Would stay again.

Summary: The theme and decorations are lovely and welcoming. The feeling is quite homey - a home away from home - with a comfort and secure feeling. The Knotty Whale is not only packed with amenities, the quality of the bedding, towels, papers, appliances, and so on, are top notch and add to the overall comfort and experience!!
